SUPER BOWL LI

Well, last game of the year.  Before that, let's hand out some awards.

NFL MVP  and Offensive Player of the Year- Matt Ryan, Falcons. No offense to anyone, but consistently throughout the season, he was head and shoulders above the rest. Yes. Tom Brady only threw two picks during the regular season, which for him, was 12 games.

Defensive Player of the Year - Landon Collins, Giants. Dude had 125 tackles, 5 picks, and a four sacks. Von Miller could steal it, but that Collins guy had a remarkable season.

Rookie of the Year - Think it will be split by the Cowboys Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott hard to say that one had more success than the other. Only fitting that they share the award. These two, are and will be joined at the hip for a long time.

Defensive Rookie of the Year - Pretty sure, even missing a few games, Joey Bosa was the best defensive rookie this year.

Coach of the Year - While some want to give it to Jason Garrett I myself think it should go to someone more deserving, like Dan Quinn. Not a great season his first year, but to lead this team to the Super Bowl, is pretty great.

Comeback Player of the Year - Jordy Nelson.  Slow start to the season, but finished with in the top 5 of many categories.

Executive of the Year - The ol crypt keeper himself Jerry Jones. Dallas had a good team. Work on that defense, yo.

The final game of the season. Super Bowl LI.
When: Sunday, 6:30PM EST
Where: Houston, Texas. Home of the Houston Texans.
Who: New England Patriots v Atlanta Falcons

How they got here:

Patriots
14-2 Regular Season
1st Seed AFC
First Round Bye
Beat Texans 34-16 in the Divisional Round
Beat Steelers 36-17 in the Conference Championship

Falcons
11-5 Regular Season
2nd seed AFC
First Round Bye
beat Seahawks 36-20 in the Divisional Round
beat Packers 44-21 in the Conference Championship

Patriots vs Falcons -  The Patriots come into the game, better equipped to win the championship. They have veteran leadership. They have been here, many times before. Bill Belichick always seems to have his under hyped team ready. Stars seem to emerge at the right times for them. Every. Season. Malcolm Butler. Deion Branch. Even Tom Brady at some point early in his career. The thing is, they are always prepared, no matter who the opponent. The Falcons come into the game as THE highest scoring team in the league. They have a great QB, a nice duo of Running Backs, and a Wide Receiver in Julio Jones who is virtually unstoppable.  They put a beatdown on the Packers. They have an explosive offense where you need to account for not just one player, but at least 4. Matt Ryan has great field vision.

Defense. That's where these two lack strong players. No one, outside of Malcolm Butler and Chris Long for the Patriots are seen as threats. Don't underestimate them, as with history past, there always seems to be a person who emerges to become a household name. The Falcons, well they can and will be scored on. If they do not find a decent pass rush, this will be a blowout. They have to try and sack Brady, or put pressure on him. If they do not, it will be a long afternoon.  Do not count out LeGarett Blount either. He is a tough physical runner who can grind the defense down. Both defenses are suspect. Could be an aerial display by both teams.

Overall, both teams are relatively even if you look at it OBJECTIVELY. I know many of you hate the Patriots, but they are a model of consistency. They win championships. They have been to a lot of conference championship games. Their coach will have them ready. Dan Quinn on the other side, won a championship as a defensive coach of the Seahawks. I believe he too will have his team ready. I honestly think, and I have gotten every pick right so far this offseason, but I think the Falcons will win a high scoring game. Falcons 37, Patriots 31

Sorry that this is the LAST NFL GAME. Here is our show, watch it for Super Bowl Recipes!
