NFL Week4

NFL WEEK 4 is heeeeeeere.

Notes from Week 3:

1. I owe an apology to the Vikings. That team is about as good on both sides of the ball as any team is.
2. The Patriots, too. Then again, what is going on with the QB situation. 1 suspended, two injured. Outside of that, they are the runaway best team of the AFC right now.
3. As much as I hate to praise them, The Eagles are pretty damn good as well.
4. The Steelers are not the best team in the league, especially the way the Eagles, with a rookie QB no less, made them look like a 2nd rate JV unit.
5. The Bears, well they are just terrible.
6. The Panthers are certainly experiencing the Super Bowl hangover. Cam Newton is seeing first hand what happens when ownership lets a lot of good players get away.
7. Broncos might not be "great" on offense, but that defense is ridiculously good.
8. Wish I could say that the Jaguars were a disappointment, but it's the Jaguars.
9. Sorry Texans, dead last in offense. Thought you would be a lot better than that.
10. Let us not forget the Ravens, 3-0.
11. Browns, Browns, NFL Clowns. hahaha, that one made me laugh.
12. Cardinals are a big disappointment right now.

Last Week an abysmal 7-9.

Bye Week Teams - Packers, Eagles

Thursday Sept 29

(NFL) Dolphins (1-2) at Bengals (1-2) - The Dolphins barely, BARELY squeezed by the Browns last week, while the Bengals took a beatdown from the Broncos. Look, the Bengals are one of those teams that have all the potential and talent, but just can't get it together. A few players returning from suspension, should help that defense. the Dolphins, well, just another team in a tough division. The Bengals, to keep pace with the Ravens and Steelers, need to win this game, and they will, in a shootout. Bengals 31, Dolphins 28

Sunday October 2nd

(CBS) Colts (1-2) at Jaguars (0-3) - The Colts got their first win, and momentarily took their hand off the panic button. The Jaguars, thought they would be better, but they aren't. The Colts are going to get their footing and win this game, and have their bye week next week to get back into the win column a bit more. Colts 24, Jaguars 17

(CBS) Titans (1-2) at Texans (2-1) - The Texans have a whole ton of questions, and little to no answers for an offense that is dead last in lots of categories. Now with JJ Watt out for an undisclosed amount of time, it's time for Osweiller to step up and take control of this team. Fortunately, they play the Titans. Texans 20, Titans 7

(CBS) Browns (0-3) at Redskins (1-2) - The Redskins should beat an underwhelming Browns team by a healthy margin. Redskins 34, Browns 13

(FOX) Seahawks (2-1) at Jets (1-2) - The Seahawks finally got on track last week. But they travel east this week, and although I believe they can do it, I am not sure they can play that great on the road this season. Jets 24, Seahawks 17

(CBS) Bills (1-2) at Patriots (3-0) - The Patriots won't play mind games with the Bills the way Rex Ryan tries to play them. Surprisingly, the Patriots haven't missed a beat without Tom Brady, which should scare the rest of the league. I don't see the Bills marching into Foxborough and winning. Patriots 20, Bills 9

(FOX) Panthers (1-2) at Falcons (2-1) - If the Panthers showed us one thing last week, is that if you routinely blitz Cam Newton you will get a high number of sacks this season. The Vikings might have exposed a weakness in the Panthers armor. Flipside, for once the Falcons looked good. good enough to beat the Panthers? I want to say no, but I think they will show that last weeks outburst wasn't a one week event. Falcons 27, Panthers 14

(CBS) Raiders (2-1) at Ravens (3-0) - The real first test for both teams. Sure the Raiders have a loss, but two teams that could be playoff contenders going head to head. should be good. I think the Raiders win a hard fought game. Raiders 24, Ravens 21

(FOX) Lions (1-2) at Bears (0-3) - Lions should Maul the Bears. Lions 34, Bears 10

(CBS) Broncos (3-0) at Buccaneers (1-2) - Broncos should stomp the Bucs and fluster Winston in a series of turnovers. Defense should have one or two defensive touchdowns this week. Broncos 34, Bucs 9

(FOX Rams (2-1) at Cardinals (1-2) - I am not sure which Cardinals team shows up, but everyone better stop sleeping on the Rams, they are a little better than we realize, especially on defense. Cardinals play good at home, but they better get out ahead, and fast. Cardinals 27, Rams 14

(FOX) Saints (0-3) at Chargers (1-2) - Here is one thing I know, Drew Brees still has a vendetta against the Chargers for dumping him back in the day. I expect a good day from him, but the Chargers win. Chargers 28, Saints 24

(FOX) Cowboys (2-1) at 49ers (1-2)- Are we surprised that the Cowboys are 2-1? Yes. Yes we are. Rookie QB, and they could easily be 3-0. 49ers aren't bad, but they just haven't figured out how to put it all together. They are at home, so I think they sneak by the Cowboys this week. 49ers 20, cowboys 17

(NBC) Chiefs (2-1) at Steelers (2-1) - The Steelers played poor last week. Wait, that's a terrible use of words. They played like a steaming pile of dog crap. Nailed it. They get Le'Veon Bell back, so that offense should have some pep. Should be a good defensive struggle with the Chiefs. Steelers squeak by. Steelers 30, Chiefs 27

Monday October 3rd

(ESPN) Giants (2-1) at Vikings (3-0) - Alright, I wasn't sold on the Vikings, but that defense is legit. The offense, surprisingly, is really good. They could be a legit contender. they have to win games like last week (Panthers) and against the Giants this week. I think the Giants play well, but they will fall to the Vikings. Vikings 24, Giants 10

NFL Week 3

NFL Week 3

Week 2, was pretty good. Here are some thoughts to wrap up last week.

1. Very sorry, Cleveland. You have the worst luck. Three weeks in, third QB. I know it was a coaches choice, but that jersey just keeps getting names added to it. Also, a 20 point lead, and lose. Yowza. Definitely working toward that #1 pick.
2. Steelers, still looking dangerously good.
3. That is how you take care of business, Cardinals. You bounce back from a tough loss like that.
4. Didn't the Texans get the memo, they are supposed to be bad this year.
5. Also, the Broncos. They too are supposed to be bad, but that defense is top notch (glad I snagged them during my fantasy draft).
6. Hey Seattle, everything okay?
7. Raiders, your defense is stuck in preseason mode. That was your strongest unit last year.
8. Colts, maybe invest in a defense during the draft. At this rate, you're going to be a contestant for 0-16 club.
9. Vikings, AP goes down, but Bradford saved the day. he looked good.
10. Maybe we should go ahead and give that Carson Wentz good ROY.
11. Ah, Jay Cutler, playing like we all know you can, terribly.
12. Jaguars, I expected a lot more out of you this season. A. LOT. MORE.

POWER RANKINGS:

Top 5

1. Steelers - Think they are the best team, right now.
2. Patriots - Even without stars, they are running the table.
3. Broncos -  Still the reigning champs, and they are playing like it.
4. Vikings - I mean, they have a good defense. Question is, will the offense show up in a shootout.
5. Cardinals - I contend that the offense is one of the best in the league.

Bottom 5

32. Browns - I can see them being down here a while.
31. Colts - them too.
30. Bears
29 - Jaguars
28 - Saints

Coaches on the Hot Seat

1. Colts
2. Bills
3. Browns - for the sake of argument, let us always assume that the worst teams coach is on the hot seat.

Last week 11-5

Thursday September 22nd

(CBS) Texans (2-0) at Patriots (2-0) - Both teams are undefeated, both have been playing great. Here's the thing, the Patriots are potentially down to their third QB. If he plays (too lazy to look up his name, but I think it sounds like Briskett or something) I can see the Texans feasting on them. If Brady or G-Polo plays, then they win, but if Briskett (for the sake of it, and going forward, he is Briskett) I think the Texans do just enough to hold off the Patriots. Texans 20, Patriots 17

Sunday September 25th

(FOX) Cardinals (1-1) at Bills (0-2)- The Bills aren't as bad as their record, but believe me, they are far from elite. The Cardinals aren't a perfect team, but they have an offense that can light up the scoreboard quickly. The Bills ineffectiveness lies with a defense that was supposed to dominate, but have yet to do that. The offense, sure it puts up points, but look at them, the team is a mess. I can see the Cardinals going on the road and putting up 32, and getting some turnovers. Cardinals 34, Bills 17

(CBS) Raiders (1-1) at Titans (1-1) - One of these weeks, the Raiders defense might show up. Last year they had such an effective defense, but this year, they are missing. Titans, they are week to week. Sucked in week 1, was decent enough to win week 2. I like the Raiders, I think they can put up some points on a Titans defense that is still trying to figure out how they made it to the NFL. Raiders 24, Titans 10

(CBS) Browns (0-2) at Dolphins (0-2) - Look, I'm just going to say this week to week.  I want to have the perfect season in reverse. the Browns right now are my best hope. Say it with me everyone 0-16. 0-16, a little louder 0-16 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Dolphins 31, Browns 10

Upset of the Week
(CBS) Ravens (2-0) at Jaguars (0-2) - I don't think the Jaguars are as bad as they seem, and inversely, I don't think the Ravens are as good as their record indicates (um, the Browns went up 20 before McCown got hurt, yes he returned, but you don't let the JV squad put that many points up on you). The Jaguars can score. They just looked terrible against the Chargers. I think Bortles lights it up this week. Jaguars 34, Ravens 20

(FOX) Lions (1-1) at Packers (1-1) - The Vikings put the clamps on the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. The Lions, I mean, they are okay, but they are so inconsistent its hard to imagine them winning more than 8 games this season. The Packers need to give Rodgers time, or last week might not be a fluke. Packers win easily. Packers 28, Lions 17

(CBS) Broncos (2-0) at Bengals (1-1) - Look, the Broncos are winning with defense. Two defensive touchdowns last week, basically making the job easier for the offense. The offense just needs to minimize their turnovers. Bengals, they don't look like the same team that made the playoffs last year. Certainly not even close to the best team in their division. Dalton wilts under pressure, and pressure this week is named Miller. Broncos 27, Bengals 13

(FOX) Vikings (2-0) at Panthers (1-1) - Vikings, dare I say, have a really good defense. They shut down the Packers. And if Bradford gets up to speed on that offense, holy crap they could be contenders. First they have to prove that they can take down top teams, routinely. The Panthers won't be easy. Newton will have a great week. Bradford, gets frazzled a lot, so look for Rivera to send the blitz. Panthers squeak by. Panthers 20, Vikings 17

(FOX) Redskins (0-2) at Giants (2-0) - I am excited for this Beckham/Norman rematch. The Giants have been flirting with the sun the last two weeks, and could easily be 0-2. I think Cousins rebounds, and has a good week, but somehow, the Giants find a way to win. Giants 24, Redskins 20

(FOX) Rams (1-1) at Buccaneers (1-1) - Bucs didn't even look close to good last week. They played poorly. The Rams, played good. I mean the offense is nothing to write home about, but hey, they got a win. At home, the Bucs play amazing offense. On the road, put out an APB, they are missing. The Rams defense is good, so this is an intriguing matchup. I like the Bucs to win a close game. Bucs 27, Rams 24

(FOX) 49ers (1-1) at Seahawks (1-1) - Seahawks aren't the same team. They look terrible so far this year. 15 points, that's all they've scored. I remember when that was a quarter. Maybe Lynch, and they didn't realize this, was a big part of that team and meant a lot to them and they didn't realize it. The offensive line, sucks. The 49ers, have the offense to make this an interesting game. The Seattle mystique, could be in effect, which means it is hard to beat them at home. Seattle 13, 49ers 10

(CBS) Jets (1-1) at Chiefs (1-1) - The Jets rebounded with a nice win over their former coach. The Chiefs on the other hand, after a big comeback win, fell flat against the Texans. I like the Jets, I think they get by on the road. Jets 21, Chiefs 17

(CBS) Chargers (1-1) at Colts (0-2)- The way the Colts are playing (terribly) and the way the Chargers are playing (to be honest, their defense lost the first game) they are putting up some major points, I fully expect the Colts to end the week 0'fer. Chargers 35, Colts 10

(CBS) Steelers (2-0) at Eagles (0-2) - Look Carson Wentz may very well be a star in the making, but for now, this is the Steelers year. They will lock up this rookie. Harrison will get after him. Steelers 37, Eagles 13

(NBC) Bears (0-2) at Cowboys (1-1) - The Bears are un-bear-able. Yeah, I went there. The Cowboys are no where near great, but they have a plan and are sticking with it. This could be a breakout game for Prescott. I think he has two TD's and we see him use his legs a bit more. Dez will be fiesty as well. They are going to take some shots down the field against a weak Bears secondary. Cowboys 27, Bears 7

Monday September 26th

(CBS) Falcons (1-1) at Saints (0-2)- Well, they couldn't have scheduled a better game to go up against the first Presidential debate of the year. No one, and I mean no one, gives a shit about this game. The Falcons, are average. If that is the case, the Saints are super below average. The Saints could at least be 1-1, but their defense will fail them repeatedly. They are not built to win. They are built to keep Sean Payton on the field one more year before he's fired, and Drew Brees is released. Falcons should win. Falcons 27, Saints 20

NFL Week 2

Week 2 is here. What a great week 1. Here are some of the highlights:

1. The Chiefs incredible comeback.
2. The Patriots looking like they won't skip a beat without Tom Brady.
3. Dak Prescott looking like a legit NFL QB.
4. The Cardinals playing like chumps.
5. The Seahawks not looking that great at home.
6. The Packers looked good.
7. The Steelers were great in beating the Redskins.
8. The Texans looked good.
9. So did the Raiders.
10. The Chargers implosion was more of a look at how their season may go....
11. Damn Browns, Damn. You guys can not catch a freaking break. A new name to add to the jersey.

Last week 9-7

Thursday  September 15th

(CBS) Jets (0-1) at Bills (0-1) - Surprised both teams lost last week. Then again, inconsistent QB play is a big problem in the NFL. The Jets have more potential, but don't count out motivation from a Rex Ryan led team to get back at his former team. Look for that as enough motivation for the Bills tonight. But somehow, someway, they will still lose. Jets 20, Bills 14

Sunday September 18th

(CBS) Bengals (1-0) at Steelers (1-0) - Best game of the week. These games are always brutal, because division games. I see a low scoring, defense driven, penalty filled game. Steelers should prevail. Steelers 17, Bengals 10

(CBS) Titans (0-1) at Lions (1-0) - Any one else super surprised that the Lions won, and looked good doing so? I thought for sure they'd be prime candidates for the 0-16 club. BUT DAMN YOU LIONS. Titans on the other hand, good moments, but overall they have a long way to go and they need to build that defense. Titans 24, Lions 20

(CBS) Ravens (1-0) at Browns (0-1) - Alright let's get this out of the way. The Browns are now potential 0-16 candidates, sorry Joel. But it's true. Griffin going down, was just another bad sign for a team that had a chance to draft a QB of the future, and passed. It's like one gut punch after another for them. But hey, reigning NBA champs and all. Oh well. Ravens should drop the Browns. Ravens 27, Browns 10

(FOX) Cowboys (0-1) at Redskins (0-1) - It's not that either team looked good, it's just that both teams didn't play great to beat superior opponents. The Redskins, just got their ass handed to them by the Steelers. The Cowboys lack a lot on defense, but they show that they can hang with the offense they have. Prescott needs to take some shots down the field. I think the Cowboys sneak a win. Cowboys 27, Redskins 24

(FOX) Saints (0-1) at Giants (1-0) - The Saints had a chance to win, but much like the Chargers, they wilted when it counted. The Giants, for all it is worth, didn't look like a great team against a Cowboys team with a rookie, and a crap defense. For all the money they spent on the defensive side of the ball, the Giants were not impressive. It's a home game, I think they batter the Saints. Giants 31, Saints 17

(FOX) 49ers (1-0) at Panthers (0-1) - I can't lie, the 49ers did look impressive...against the Rams. Which isn't saying much. The Panthers, um...did not. Although one missed field goal is the difference. I don't like the 49ers chances against a semi angry Panthers team. Panthers 27, 49ers 13

(CBS) Dolphins (0-1) at Patriots (1-0) - Impressive that the Patriots were able to win without any discernible stars. It was a great game to attend. The Dolphins held their own against the Seahawks. I don't see them winning this week, but it should be a close game. Patriots 17, Dolphins 13

(CBS) Chiefs (1-0) at Texans (1-0) - If you don't think the Chiefs comeback was impressive, shut up. It was HIGHLY impressive. But hopefully that is not the trend with them. They could win their division, but they need to get it together on defense. The Texans, looked good, minus some costly turnovers by Osweiler. This should be one of those back and forth tug-o-war games we all love to see. Chiefs 24, Texans 20.

(FOX) Seahawks (1-0) at Rams (0-1) - Rams could legit go 0-16. I don't know why this makes me happy, but any team that has the potential to be that bad, makes my heart happy. I acknowledge that I am indeed a terrible person. Seahawks should get it going and have a productive week. Seahawks 34, Rams 7

(FOX) Buccaneers (1-0) at Cardinals (0-1) - No team more disappointing than the Cardinals in week 1. I mean, they had a depleted Patriots team, and they lost. Sure, a last minute field goal could have had them win, but when you play terrible all game, I am glad you're not rewarded with a last minute win. The Bucs, played good against a bad bad Falcons team. Winston needs to cut down on his turnovers. Should be a good game, the Cardinals defense better buckle up. Cardinals 31, Bucs 20

(CBS) Jaguars (0-1) at Chargers (0-1) - Jaguars were more impressive in week 1 than the Chargers. Part of the problem is, jump to a big lead, and coast? no. You keep pounding the football so you don't let an AFC contender back into the game. The Jaguars, with Bortles looked good. I think they are starting to figure out this whole football thing. Jaguars 27, Chargers 17

(CBS) Falcons (0-1) at Raiders (1-0) - Still impressed with the Raiders. Not even remotely close to impressed with the Falcons. The Raiders should shoot the birds out of the sky. Raiders 34, Falcons 10

(CBS) Colts (0-1) at Broncos (1-0) - The Colts did not look good, and for that matter neither did the Broncos, offensively. Defensively the Broncos did. With 10 days off, they hopefully figured it out. The Broncos need to really come out and get going fast, and not let Andrew Luck get going. Broncos 20, Colts 14

(NBC) Packers (1-0) at Vikings (1-0) - I really don't know what to make of the Vikings, but this week we should get an idea if they are for real. The Packers looked good on both sides of the ball. It's going to be one of the better games of the week. Packers 24, Vikings 17

Monday September 19th

(ESPN) Eagles (1-0) at Bears (0-1) - I don't see the Bears winning. They just look so bad. I had hope for them, but man it's like watching a JV team QB get promoted to the high school team and hoping to be a star. Jay Cutler is bad. The offense, minus Alshon Jeffrey, is terrible. The defense, for which Chicago is typically known for, is bad. Eagles, even with a rookie QB, should drop Da Bears. Eagles 24, Bears 10

NFL WEEK 1 - Predictions, picks, and all the other stuff to Super BowlLI

C

Hello Everyone,

It's here. week 1. Is. here. Nothing like this is exciting in any other sport. I mean, to be honest I don't obsess about any other sport other than the NFL. Every move in the offseason is scrutinized. Hockey isn't. Maybe the NBA. MLB, not really.

All roads from tonight on lead to Super Bowl LI in Houston. Who will be there. Well, I'm doing things a little bit different this year. So with that, here goes.

AFC East - The Patriots have owned this division for as long as I can remember. the Bills, have improved in the last offseason. QB is always a problem for them. Maybe they've figured it out. The Dolphins,  well their problem is typically everything. Start o ut great, end up like a fish out of water. They have some stability at coaching this year. Good coaches. Hold the team responsible. Jets, good last year. Barely missed out on the playoffs. Will they able to repeat and improve? Yes.But as usual, they are going to be looking over their shoulder, because no matter how much time Tom Brady misses, the Patriots are the team to beat. Expected order of finish.
  1. Patriots
  2. Jets
  3. Bills
  4. Dolphins
I don't see the Patriots not winning this division. Mark my words, when Brady comes back from his 4 game bench ride, he is going to light shit up.

AFC North - This is one of my favorite divisions. Ravens had a much tougher team than people realize last year, but ultimately injuries cost them, I don't see them being super competitive, but they always seem to shock me. The Browns even with RG3, won't be able to compete much. Here's the thing, they will be much improved, which isn't saying much considering they are annual bottom feeders of the division, but I really think a 7-9, possibly 8-8 record is within reach. The Bengals, look, I'm sick of them being just good enough. Make the playoffs, suck like a vacuum on it's last journey. Wait, that's poor analogy. To hell with it, they suck in the playoffs. How Marvin Lewis hangs on to his job after not being winning in the playoffs, is baffling. They have the tools, but a lot of suspensions loom. The Steelers is about as loaded as a team can be this season. As long As Rothlesomething is at QB, they always have a chance. Plus, they have the amazing Antonio Brown. Expected order of finish.
  1. Steelers
  2. Bengals
  3. Browns (going out on a limb)
  4. Ravens
AFC South - If there is one surprise team that will make a giant leap this year, it's the Jaguars. I feel that years of being the AFC whipping post, they will finally field a semi competitive team. Great draft. Great offseason. Bortles looks ready to go. The Titans upgraded, but still won't be that great. I think they are about a year away from competing. The Colts with Andrew Luck not on the sideline, will be strong. I don't think they have the defense (always a big problem in Indy) to compete. They need a superhuman effort from Luck. The Texans here's the conundrum. no Super Bowl host city has ever played in the Super Bowl and the home team, is usually pretty terrible. I don't see the Texans being terrible, but they won't be Super Bowl bound. Expected order of finish

  1. Texans
  2. Colts
  3. Jaguars
  4. Titans
AFC West  - This division houses the Broncos, so I will start there. Their offense is handed over to a second year 7th rounder. Will he be good? time will tell. All the pressure is off of him because they have a pretty great defense. The Chargers,  the annual "I have Potential, but suck when it counts" is in this division as well. They have issues on both sides of the ball. Will their problems be solved? Probably not. Philippina Rivers will need to have an ALL PRO season to rescue them because the Raiders are going to be super tough in this division. Trust me. That defense is going to be bananas. Lest we forget about the Chiefs honestly this is probably the second toughest division in the AFC because the Broncos, Chargers, and Chiefs all have potential to be 10 win teams. This is not a lie. Expected order of finish

  1. Chiefs
  2. Raiders
  3. Broncos
  4. Chargers
Wild Card Teams - Raiders, Bengals

I think this is the year the Raiders hit the big time and make a playoff comeback.

NFC East - Sure the Cowboys have some key pieces back, but they are once again missing Tony Romo. That guy can't stay healthy. However, Dak Prescott has impressed. He's a rookie. But he's no Russell Wilson. Giants improved in every way possible. I mean, look at them. They are stacked on defense. Redskins as well. They improved parts of their defense, but they let a good runner in Alfred Morris get away. The Eagles had the biggest head scratcher moments of the offseason. Both their highly touted QB and RB from last season, gone. Rookie QB that doesn't have to look over his shoulder. Well, expected order of finish

  1. Giants
  2. Redskins
  3. Cowboys
  4. Eagles
NFC North - A division that could have a few winners in it. Lets eliminate the Lions  first off. They are just a train wreck in NFL uniforms. A 6-10 campaign is within reach. The Vikings with Bridgewater would have been good. With Bradford, they are at best 8-8. He's not a good QB and the fact that people keep trading for him makes him believe he's elite. As much as I hate to admit this, DaBears could push for the division. I don't trust Cutler but they have a shot to push the Packers. As long as Aaron Is around my money is on the Packers. Expected order of finish.
        1. Packers
        2. Bears
        3. Vikings
        4. Lions

NFC South - Panthers are still the toast of the division. I mean they lost the Super Bowl but this division is choppy at best. The Falcons are the Bengals of this division. Always lots of promise, falls flat in the end. They will be a 10 win team but no playoffs. The Saints I don't know what to say. They won't be good. Which leaves the Buccaneers  as the team most likely to make a bigger improvement record wise. Expected order of finish.

       1. Panthers
       2. Buccaneers
       3. Falcons
       4. Saints

NFC West- well. This is your money division at least two teams are. Let's start with the Rams who will be no better than 6-10. Then move to the 49ers and they are 7-9. Now that leaves the Seahawks who are just loaded and the Cardinals. Much like last year the latter two will be beating teams routinely. One of them will be Super Bowl bound. But who...Expected order of finish

    1. Seahawks
    2. Cardinals
    3. 49ers
    4. Rams

Wildcard teams - Cardinals, Bears

NFL offensive ROY - Ezekiel Elliot
NFL defensive ROY - (if he plays) Joey Bosa
NFL MVP - Aaron Rodgers
NFL POY - Antonio Brown
NFL defensive POY - JJ Watts

Super bowl LI - My pick. Cardinals vs Steelers. How I came to this conclusion? Well, Tom Brady missing 4 games, I think overall hurts the Patriots. the Steelers, a few suspensions here and there doesn't matter. They have a very good team, in a brutal division. They will get home field advantage. The Cardinals, will go as a wild card team. They will lose the division but they will eventually prevail. They have a team built on both sides of the ball. Overall, I think the Cardinals get their first Super Bowl win.

Week 1 Action

Thursday Sept 8

Panthers vs Broncos - A rematch of the Super bowl, but obviously two different teams. The Panthers let a lot of good players just walk away. The Broncos lost a Hall of Fame QB, and now have a journeyman QB. The Panthers have a good offense and a defense that could challenge Siemen. I fully expect a different turnout than the Super Bowl. Panthers 21, Broncos 13

Sunday Sept 11

Green Bay at Jacksonville - Look, The Packers are going to be a great team, but I have a feeling this Jacksonville team is going to be one of those teams that competes every week and also wins games they aren't supposed to. Will it be this week? I doubt it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Packers 24, Jaguars 20

Bills at Ravens -   I don't know what to make of this Bills team. They have a lot of talent, and a lot of suspensions. They need consistent QB play. Flacco coming off the injury, will be interesting to watch. I think the Bills squeak by. Bills 20, Ravens 17

Bears at Texans - Osweiller's first go at QB for the Texans. They have one of the best receivers in the game, and a defense that is just lights out crazy. The Bears have John Fox at coach and that's a team that always improves. I don't think the Bears will win, but they will show us what they are capable of this season. Texans 27, Bears 20

Browns at Eagles -  Look RG3 is not the Cleveland savior, but he will play better than the rookie across the way. The Eagles have so many questions about their team, it's crazy to think they will be competitive. Cleveland will start off 1-0. Browns 31, Eagles 13

Buccaneers at Falcons -  I think the Falcons always start out good, and then fade away. It would be nice to see them actually sustain a good season for once. I think the Buccaneers are capable of putting up some points this season. They won't win this game. Falcons will squeak by Falcons 27 Bucs 24

Vikings at Titans - I am intrigued to see how Sam Bradford plays on such a short turnaround. Of Course, they still have AP, but that offense is going to be relying on him a lot. The Titans, well they have weapons, but it's like a puzzle and you're missing a main piece. They are a young team, but I give them another season before they are really decently competitive. Vikings 34, Titans 24

Bengals at Jets - Best game of the week. The Jets have potential to always be good, but the Bengals are. They just suck in the playoffs. I think the defense for both teams is very very good. The Bengals will need to rely heavily on the Ginger Avenger to win it. Bengals 17, Jets 13

Raiders at Saints - Look, I'm for the Raiders because I believe they will be a dominant team. I don't think the Saints will be good. AT. ALL.  Raiders 35, Saints 13

Chargers at Chiefs - Chargers. Oh Chargers. So much potential. So much terribleness. Chiefs should just roll them. Chiefs 41, Chargers 20

Dolphins at Seahawks -  If any of you are expecting the Dolphins to
   A. Fly across the country and be competitive
   B. Beat the Seahawks
   C. Be Competitive in that environment
Please sit down. This will be a preview of what the Seahawks will do to many teams. Seahawks 38, Dolphins 20

Lions at Colts - I expect the Lions to be as competitive as Simba was when he was trying to roar in the Lion King. The Colts should drop some points. Colts 31, Lions 10

Giants at Cowboys - Cowboys have a terrible defense. The ONLY thing that kept them competitive was Tony Romo. I don't expect them to be good against the Giants. They will put up about 14 points while the Giants score in droves. Giants 34, Cowboys 17

Patriots at Cardinals - We are going to this game and IF Brady was playing, I'd pick them. I fully expect the Cardinals to show why I picked them to be in the Super Bowl. They are stacked on both sides of the ball. If Palmer stays healthy, they will be a dominant team. Cardinals 28, Patriots 17

Monday Sept 12th

Steelers at Redskins - The Steelers are good. They have a stacked team. The Redskins, even with questions at QB with Kirk Cousins, could be a good sleeper team, but until we see if Kirk can handle the expectations, I fully expect to see the Steelers come out and execute some plays. Steelers 27, Redskins 17

Rams at 49ers  -  This is basically a throw away game, which is why it's the last game of week 1. The Rams could be competitive, but they have a Rookie QB. The 49ers have so many questions that it is hard to figure they can be a good team. Rams are better. Rams 24, 49ers 14

Happy Week 1!
