NFL Week 4

Last week, a stupid 8-8. Some teams should have lost. Colts. Colts. Colts. For the season, 29-18.

Thoughts -

1. Little early in the season, but oh well. Browns you are dead to me. The fact that you couldn't win, and thus let the Colts get a W, and now you yourself find yourself in the 0fer column, well you're dead to me. I  WANTED TO BELIEVE IN YOU. Also, you too, Steelers. Dead.
2. That Dallas run game looks weak so far this year.
3. Chiefs, well they look strong.
4. Steelers have a way of playing down to the level of bad teams, and losing. EVERY. YEAR.
5. I don't even think that the Jaguars know which version of their team will show up every week.
6. Browns, Chargers, 49ers, and Giants, you all are my only hope for that magical 0-16. In the immortal words of ELO, don't bring me down.
7. Seahawks, you guys okay?
8.

YOU GUYS CAN GO THE DISTANCE

Thursday Sept 28th

(CBS) Bears (1-2) at Packers (2-1) - Both coming off of wins, the Packers stormed back to win their game, while the Bears seemed to hang on. I'm not saying the Bears are in any way good, because they are not, but beating a Steelers team that is stacked on the offensive side of the ball, says a lot. Still, these division games are tough. It's at home, primetime, I like that Rodgers guy to have a 4 td night. Packers 35, Bears 10

Sunday October 1st

(FOX) Saints (1-2) at Dolphins (1-1) - The Dolphins, I thought would be better. I mean their offense has some legit weapons. Problem is, Jaysophene Cutler. He sucks. Saints, well they have played two juggernaut teams (Vikings, Patriots) and lost both games. They beat a Panthers team that I thought would demolish them. Maybe they are figuring it out. No time like the present to get back to .500 though. If that defense gets rolling, they could have a nice day. Saints 27, Dolphins 17

(CBS) Bills (2-1) at Falcons (3-0) - Defense wins championships, but the problem is that neither team really plays good defense. Bills don't really have a good offense either. They are just kind of patchwork right now. Falcons, have that offense that can score from anywhere. And at 3-0 they are proving they can beat teams, they just have to tune that defense up. I think this is a close game this week. Falcons 20, Bills 19

(CBS) Bengals at Browns both are 0-3. - Why can't you guys go for a tie. Wait, that's it. I hope you tie. Browns 9, Bengals 9.

(FOX) Rams (2-1) at Cowboys (2-1) - Both teams have a good defense. Both are at the top of their division. Both are young teams, with 2nd year QB's. Running game for both are solid. Receivers, you have to give the edge to Dallas This is one of those games that's hard to call, but I think the Rams sneak a win in Dallas. Rams 20, Cowboys 17

(FOX) Lions (2-1) at Vikings (2-1)- Either the Vikings heard me talking about their team or they figured out they could be better. And they were. Dominant last week. A team that, if they play that way every week, should be feared. Lions, they have played great. Defense lets them down in key moments. NFC North games are tough, and I think this one will be that way. Vikings 24, Lions 21

(FOX) Panthers (2-1) at Patriots (2-1) - A home game for the Patriots is almost like a gimme, haha just kidding. Running QB's could give them fits. I think Tom is still angry about week 1 and is out to make teams pay. Panthers, you're on his hit list. patriots defense sucks by the way. Not sure how the coordinator hasn't been put on leave or fired yet. Patriots 31, Panthers 24

(CBS) Jaguars (2-1) at Jets (1-2) - Look not sure which Jaguars team will show up, but twice in three games they've dropped more than 28 points. They can beat the hapless Jets and get to 3-1, someplace they haven't been in a long time. Jaguars 31, Jets 9

(CBS) Steelers (2-1) at Ravens (2-1) - Not sure how the Steelers lost last week, but they go into a division game looking to end their slide. I think they do it. Steelers 24, Ravens 20

(CBS) Titans (2-1) at Texans (1-2) - Lot of divisional games this week. Texans barely beat the Bengals, but a win is a win. Titans, well they beat a good Seahawks team. Road games have been the achilles heel for the Titans in the last few years, but if they want to keep pace with the Jags, they have to win. Titans 27, Texans 17

(FOX) 49ers (0-3) at Cardinals (1-2) - DON'T LET ME DOWN CARDINALS. I think they will though. 49ers 17, Cardinals 10

(FOX) Eagles (2-1) at Chargers (0-3) - Sigh, two let down games in a row. I think the Chargers win one. Chargers 27, Eagles 19

(FOX) Giants (0-3) at Buccaneers (1-1) - Geez, three in a row. Just kidding. Bucs should go crazy on that weak Giants defense. Buccaneers 34, Giants 13

Both teams are 2-1

(CBS) Raiders at Broncos - Both teams have really good defenses, and the Raiders offense is top notch. Not sure how they flew across the country and couldn't score. Oh well, Broncos, too. I expect a hard hitting, less than 30 points  combined game. Raiders 17, Broncos 10

(NBC) Colts (1-2) at Seahawks (1-2) - I'm not sold on either team to be honest. Seahawks look terrible. I honestly think they can be beat at home. They won't be, but still. Seahawks 24, Colts 17

Monday October 2nd

(ESPN) Washington (2-1) at Kansas City (3-0) - Way Kansas City is playing, I expect them to beat Washington. That team has some serious weapons. They are built for a Super Bowl run. Kansas City 28, Washington 20

Week 3

I went 12-4  last week (21-10 so far this season).

Notes

-The Broncos looked insane last week. I mean, they dropped 42 in a complete game on both sides of the ball. That Raiders/Broncos matchup seems like it will be a good one, when it happens.
- Jaguars couldn't make it two in a row.
-Falcons and their new stadium, they are playing like a team that wants to go back to the Super Bowl.
-The Buccaneers looked scary good, too.
- Eli Manning is on pace to be sacked a lot. The Giants, for all its worth, look terrible.
-Seattle is not playing good football. In fact, they look terrible and almost lost to a crap team last week and almost gave me one loss in my elimination league game. GET IT TOGETHER GUYS.
-Colts, you keep doing you. The loss thing. Keep doing that.
-You too, bears.
-I live for 0-16.
- Browns, well you've been there before, win one.

Thursday September 21st

(NFL) Rams (1-1) at 49ers (0-2) - I am solely rooting for the Rams only because I want the 49ers to join the 0-16 club. Rams 17, 49ers 6

Sunday September 24th

(YAHOO) Ravens (2-0) at Jaguars (1-1) - The Ravens fly in, i say again, the Ravens fly into London 2-0 facing a Jaguars team that I still think can compete in the south division. Sure the Titans showed them that they are still the boss, and if Blake Bortles can stop playing like Jay Cutler's deranged twin, maybe they can be really good. Til then, The Ravens win in London. Ravens 27, Jaguars 17

(CBS) Broncos (2-0) at Bills (1-1) - Look, if the Broncos that destroyed the Cowboys last week show up to Buffalo, they will obliterate a weak Bills team. Broncos 31, Bills 10

(CBS) Steelers (2-0) at Bears (0-2) - You already know where I stand. I want to see some 0-16 teams, plural. Bears, you can be that team. Aspire to be terrible. Da Bears, suck. Steelers 34, Bears 6

(FOX) Falcons (2-0) at Lions (2-0) - Lions look great. Falcons too. Honestly if they keep playing at a high level, this could be a shootout. Which would be dope. I really want to see a 45 point OT game. These two teams, could give that excitement. Falcons 44, Lions 41

(CBS) Browns (0-2) at Colts (0-2) - First win for the Browns, because I am actively rooting for the colts to put the ball down, flip it and reverse it. Browns 24, Colts 14

(FOX) Buccaneers (1-0) at Vikings (1-1) - The Buccaneers are one of those teams that could be really good. Good offense. Decent, but getting better defense. Vikings returned to form and look okay. If Bradford is out again, it won't be much of a game. Buccaneers 34, Vikings 17

(CBS) Texans (1-1) at Patriots (1-1) - JJ Watt vs Tom Brady, but a weak texans qb versus that Patriots defense? I'll take the Patriots. It won't be a blowout, but the Patriots should dispatch the Texans easily. Patriots 24, Texans 10

(CBS) Dolphins (1-0) at Jets (0-2) - Funny, JETS also spells L-O-S-E, if you listen closely enough. I do not like Jay Cutler, and I wish to see him lose all the time, but I also want to see the Jets go 0'fer. SO in this case, the Dolphins win, not because of Jay Cutler though. Dolphins 24, Jets 9

(FOX) Giants (0-2) at Eagles (1-1) - The Giants, well they won't go 0-16, but at the rate they are playing they won't be making the playoffs. The Eagles, if they can get their defense rolling early, can stop the Giants by forcing Eli to make bad throws, and get him sacked. Eagles 17, Giants 7

(FOX) Saints (0-2) at Panthers (2-0) - The Saints aren't as bad as their record would indicate. But they aren't great. The Panthers, are a quiet 2-0. Which means no one expected it, or their opponents have been terrible. So this is a good NFC south game, a shootout I think. Panthers win though, Sorry Saints fans. Panthers 34, Saints 20

(FOX) Seahawks (1-1) at Titans (1-1) - Honestly I'm not sure what is going on with the Seahawks. They do not look great. Sure they are 1-1, but barely beat the 49ers. Now traveling across the country to face a Titans team that has a potent offense. The Titans looked good in both games, they lost to the Raiders, but bounced back against the Jaguars. I think the Titans are primed to win this one. Titans 27, Seahawks 17

(CBS) Bengals (0-2) at Packers (1-1) - Unless the Packers can figure out the Falcons, they won't be Super Bowl bound, however they can bounce back and defeat the Bengals. I just want as many 0-16 team participants as possible. Packers 35, Bengals 14

(CBS) Chiefs (2-0) at Chargers (0-2) - Chiefs are the real deal, ya'll. I wasn't sold before Week 1, but now three weeks in, they may be real. Chargers are real, real bad. They just find new ways to lose. I think the Chiefs destroy them. Chiefs 42, Chargers 17

(NBC) Raiders (2-0) at Redskins (1-1) - This Raiders defense and a combo with their offense, should give the Redskins some fits on Sunday night. The Redskins do not look good. Offense sputters, defense is barely above average. I think the Raiders get a big win. Raiders 31, Redskins 10

Monday September 25th

(ESPN) Cowboys (1-1) at Cardinals (1-1)- Cardinals haven't looked great all season. Lost to the Lions. Rebounded against a bad Colts team, and barely beat them. Dallas looked great in the first game, decimated in the Second game. The Cardinals, at home, have to find a way to slow down the Cowboys offense, who will be looking to rebound. Right now, the Cardinals do not have the weapons to win many games. This one, they won't win at home. Cowboys 24, Cardinals 10

Happy NFL Week 3!

NFL Week 2

Well, that was one heck of a week one. I went 9-6 last week (the Bucs/Dolphins game was moved to week 11). So that was a productive week. Saw some surprises.

Notes

- Besides the Chiefs fans, no one saw that utter destruction of the Patriots coming. Don't lie. You did not. My friend Scott, who I've known since our high school days, knew it. Trust me, he has gloated.
- That Packers game. Wow, they looked great. I never expect to see the Seahawks not score a TD. They need to find a way to score on that field, because the NFC championship game might be going through Lambeau.
- Speaking of, Rams. They looked amazing. 46 points last week.
- Jaguars, they seem like they are poised for that breakout season. I will proceed with hesitation.
- Browns showed some life. Not a lot, but some life.
- The Vikings* looked good too. They might be a contender for the NFC North.
*note to the note - We saw this last season, and about 6 games in, they started to reveal themselves to be contenders for the bottom 10 in the league.
-Hugely disappointed by the Giants, Texans, PatriotsBengals. Neither looked good. One player doth not a team make, Giants. (Beckham)
- Chargers, looking like the same  team of yore. As in bad. Every season, potential. Then they play from behind, and can't manage to win games even when they make a comeback. One Day, now Los Angeles Team. One. Day.

Power Rankings

Top 5
1. Packers
2. Chiefs - looked great
3. Raiders
4. Vikings
5. Steelers - Sorry guys, beating the Browns really does not earn you any points.

Bottom 5

31. Browns
30. Jets
29. 49ers
28. Bears

Thursday September 14th

(NBC) Texans (0-1) at Bengals (0-1) - Neither of these teams are what I thought they would be. I thought the Texans, with that defense, would be able to get past the Jaguars. Bengals, well, I thought they'd at least be competitive last week. Nope to neither. Texans get to go on the road, and try to bounce back. I think the Bengals, for what it's worth, will not have a great season. You start slow in the AFC North you typically don't get back up. If they want to try, they have to win tonight. I think they squeak out a W.  Bengals 20, Texans 17

Sunday September 18th

(CBS) Browns (0-1) at Ravens (1-0)  - I mean, it has to get easier someday, right? Browns that is. That's directed at the browns. Look, they played the Steelers tough, but they have to build on last week and move forward. So, I am going out on a limb. The Browns get that first W of the season. Browns 24, Ravens 20

(CBS) Bills (1-0) at Panthers (1-0) - Cam Newton plays light out at home. Now that they have a new weapon in that Christian McCaffrey guy, I expect that to be amped up a notch. Panthers at home, I can see them winning. Bills really weren't that impressive last week Panthers 27, Bills 13

(FOX) Cardinals (0-1) at Colts (0-1) -  any one else think the Colts look terrible? They could be this years Browns. If Andrew Luck doesn't return soon, we could see a potential 0-16 Colts team. With that, I'm rooting for their failure. Cardinals 31 - Colts 7

(CBS) Titans (0-1) at Jaguars (1-0)  - Don't get your hopes up yet, Jaguars fans. You guys played great, but the Texans are notoriously flip floppy. Plus they are coming off the Hurricane Harvey. So they were bound to play bad with their minds elsewhere. So with that, the Titans are a different team. They will come to play. I think this is going to be a close, good game. Titans 19, Jaguars 16

(FOX) Eagles (1-0) at Chiefs (1-0) - Chiefs looked like they could take on anyone and slap them in the mouth last week. I mean, they dominated the Patriots. Will that happen to the Eagles? I don't know. Eagles looked good. Not Super Bowl caliber, but they look like they can play. Wentz, not sold on him, and if he doesn't play up to par, he will get the Chiefs all over him. I think the Chiefs win. Chiefs 34, Eagles 20

(CBS) Patriots (0-1) at Saints (0-1) - Sorry, Saints, no way the Patriots lose two in a row. Patriots 27, Saints 20

(FOX) Vikings (1-0) at Steelers (1-0) - I am thoroughly impressed by the Vikings. Sam Bradford for one. The Steelers, well they are always looking good. This is one of those games that could be a tough one. I think the Steelers win. Steelers 17, Vikings 10

(FOX) Bears (0-1) at Buccaneers (0-0) - Having not played last week, the Bucs got an extra week of rest/preparation. I think, as talented as their team is, they come out and beat the Bears down. Bucs 41, Bears 10

(CBS) Dolphins (0-0) at Chargers (0-1)  Dolphins got an extra week off, and that means prep. Their defense is strong, I'm wary of that offense with Jay Turnover at QB. I think the Chargers find a way to win their first game in L.A. Chargers 20, Dolphins 13

(CBS) Jets (0-1) at Raiders (1-0) - Jets can definitely be in the 0-16 club. Get them losses, Baby! Raiders 31,  Jets 12

(FOX) Cowboys (1-0) at Broncos (1-0) - Normally i don't like to pick the Cowboys, but Dax is 10-0 against non division opponents. Will he become 11-0? I do not know. But I think this is a good test for a surprising Dallas team that was able to lock down the Giants. Broncos, barely held off the Chargers. Game could've went to overtime. I think Dallas, for what it's worth, steals the game. Cowboys 24, Broncos 20

(FOX) Redskins (0-1) at Rams (1-0) - Um, I did not see that doing. Not that win. They dominated last week. Tougher test with the Redskins, but if they play like they did last week, look out. I think that it's a tough grind out win this week. Redskins 17, Rams 13

(FOX) 49ers (0-1) at Seahawks (0-1) - I'll save everyone some time. The Seahawks at home, a crappy 49ers team. Seahawks 42, 49ers 9

(NBC) Packers (1-0) at Falcons (1-0) Rematch of the NFC Championship game. I think the Packers looked much more impressive than the Falcons last week. However, the Falcons are opening their new stadium and I think it's going to be crazy there. I think  the Falcons win a close close game. Falcons 24, Packers 22

MONDAY

(ESPN ) Lions (1-0) at Giants (0-1) - Look, the Lions were impressive. The Giants were not. I think that the Giants, at home, possibly with Beckham, can win it. Thing is, the Giants defense, for all the money spent, looked terrible. You're talking about a Lions team with a lot of weapons. That's why, I think the Lions, steal a game monday night. Lions 34, Giants 21

Happy NFL Week 2!

NFL IS BACK! WEEK 1 - Predictions, picks, and all the other stuff to Super Bowl LII

Hello Everyone,

It's here. Week 1. Is. here. Nothing like this is exciting in any other sport. I mean, to be honest I don't obsess about any other sport other than the NFL. I added more NBA to my repertoire this season, because it seems to be a lot of drama over there, but NFL. NFL is still king.

All roads from tonight on lead to Super Bowl LII. It's easy to say the Patriots will be there, but then again, nothing is ever easy. With that. Here goes.

AFC East - Until Tom Brady can no longer play. This is his division. Every Chowder head in the New England area is currently pre gaming right this moment. Look, they are a great team. Will they win a sixth this year? I don't know. I could say they face stiff competition, but their division, as usual, is a tad bit weak. The Dolphins, if Tannenhill was the QB over that turd of a human Jay Cutler, I would say Dolphins would finish higher. But they don't. The Bills, had some questionable trades, which I don't understand at all, unless it was strictly to free up money, and I don't even know who the QB for the Jets is. It's Patriots and then the other 3 teams.
  1. Patriots
  2. Dolphins
  3. Bills
  4. Jets
Patriots will start off hot this season, and hit a slump, but still win the division, easily.

AFC North - Steelers will own this division. Look, they made some killer moves this offseason. Every one seems healthy. I think they could make one hell of a run. Ravens, for all it's worth could be right behind them in the division, and still make a bit of a splash, possibly a wild card team. Bengals, well I don't know how Marvin Lewis has lasted so long. Browns. Poor Browns. They have a legit QB I am excited to see play, but they still have not supported him with enough weapons on offense. Defense will be pretty good, but not enough to win them 10 games.
  1. Steelers
  2. Ravens
  3. Bengals
  4. Browns
AFC South - Not sure why, but every year I want the Jaguars to be good, and they are not. Look, the Titans though. They looked good at the end of last season before injuries derailed them. I think they will build on that. The Colts, well they do not have a QB to speak of. Luck is still out, and they don't have much of an offense, and their defense is just dog crap. Now the big surprise that will not be a surprise, is the Texans. They have a young talented QB, and plenty of weapons on offense. I think they will surprise some teams, but I think the Titans sneak and win this division.

  1. Titans
  2. Texans
  3. Colts
  4. Jaguars
AFC West  - Let's take a second to talk about possibly the best division in the AFC. Look at the teams, from top to bottom, each of them could win this division. The Raiders though, will dominate it. One injury on either team, and another team could slide in to steal the division. But that Raiders/Chiefs game will be intense this season. Watch. I hate picking a division winner here. But...
  1. Raiders
  2. Chiefs
  3. Broncos
  4. Chargers

Wild Card Teams - Chiefs, Ravens

NFC East - I, a Cowboys fan, go into every season with a little hesitation. I am not sure how they are going to be this season. They could be really good, or spiral. That defense, for all it's worth, has still not been addressed. They have gaping holes on that side of the ball and will be exposed. The Giants, Redskins, and Eagles, well I don't care to comment about any of them because they are all pretty stupid. Fun fact: The NFC East has not had a repeat champ since the Donovan McNabb Eagles won 4 straight, last in 2004. I don't see that changing this year. I don't believe Dallas is built to win the division or a Super Bowl this year.

  1. Giants
  2. Eagles
  3. Cowboys
  4. Redskins
NFC North - I think the Bears are the worst of this division. You can toss in the Vikings just in front of them. The Packers and Lions are the two best teams in the North. Each game in the division is always a must watch. Probably one of my favorite divisions in all of Football. I think the Packers win this division, and they advance far into the playoffs. Wouldn't count the Lions out, they could be a 10-11 win wild card team.

        1. Packers
        2. Lions
        3. Vikings
        4. Bears

NFC South - Sure was wrong about the Panthers last season, Falcons too. Look the Falcons had a chance, and squandered that by not playing defense in the second half of the Super Bowl. Typically the Super Bowl loser has a bit of a hangover and does not have a great season. I don't believe the Falcons will fall of that much, but I don't think they will be great. Bucs though, look out for them. I think the Panthers make a comeback this season. Sorry Saints, you're back to the 'Aints.

       1. Panthers
       2. Buccaneers
       3. Falcons
       4. Saints

NFC West- I am not a fan, but watch the Seahawks this season. They will dazzle a lot and win a lot. The Cardinals, eh. Not to sure they will be good. The latter two, well they are fighting for last place.

    1. Seahawks
    2. Cardinals
    3. 49ers
    4. Rams

Wildcard teams - Buccaneers/Eagles

NFL offensive ROY - Leonard Fournette (Jaguars
NFL defensive ROY - Myles Garrett
NFL MVP - Aaron Rodgers
NFL POY - David Johnson
NFL defensive POY - JJ Watts

(Laughs) That's the closest the Vikings will get to a Super Bowl in quite some time hahahah

Super bowl LII - My pick. Packers vs Patriots How I came to this conclusion? Well, Tom Brady. That's it. That's how I came to the conclusion for the Patriots. I mean it won't be easy. I can see the Steelers giving them one hell of an AFC Championship game. Packers will have to topple the Seahawks and Buccaneers, but they squeak it out. I think the Packers are built for a run this year. I think they win one of the most exciting games of all time in the Super Bowl, a last minute TD pass. Packers 34, Patriots 31

Power Rankings
Top 5:
1. Patriots
2. Packers
3. Falcons
4. Steelers
5. Seahawks

Bottom 5:
32. Rams
31. 49ers
30. Saints(FOX)
29. Chargers
28. Browns

Week 1

THURSDAY BABY!

(NBC) Chiefs at Patriots - Tom Brady. Primetime. No way they lose. It will be a good game, because Andy Reid is a good coach. But the Hoodie on the other side is actually much better. Even without some of his weapons, the kid who will go down as the greatest QB in NFL history will take down the Chiefs. Patriots 24, Chiefs 13

Sunday September 10th

Bucs/Dolphins has been postponed until week 11. So those two essentially have bye weeks.

Please stay safe, Florida people.

(CBS) Jets at Bills - I honestly don't know what to think of either team. The Bills really did not have a great offseason, and I couldn't pick the Jets QB off of a wanted poster if there were two people on it. The Bills, have some consistency, they still have Tyrod Taylor, but they traded away their star receiver. I think the Bills, since it's at home, win. Bills 21, Jets 13

(FOX) Falcons at Bears - I have no hope for the Bears. Sure, they always have a good defense. But that offense does not look like it will win them any games. They are a 5-11 team at best. Falcons, well they can prove they weren't a one year wonder by beating teams they are supposed to beat. And they will. Falcons 31, Bears 7

(CBS) Ravens at Bengals - Any time two division foes square off, and one loses, they are put at an immediate disadvantage toward winning the division. this is one of those games. Sure the Bengals and Ravens always play each other tough, but with so much to play for at the beginning of the season, you have to get out and start fast. I think the Bengals find a way to win a close one at home. Bengals 17, Ravens 13

(CBS) Steelers at Browns - Sorry Browns, like the paragraph before, but you lose. Steelers 27, Browns 17

(FOX) Cardinals at Lions - What could potentially be a great game. Two strong offenses, and an MVP Candidate in David Johnson. Cardinals had a problem last season starting games strongly. They would spot a team points, and play catch up. If they want to make the playoffs, they need to start fast. The Lions, need to work on tempo, and keep the defense off the field for long stretches. I think it's close, but the Cardinals win in OT. Cardinals 24, Lions 21

(CBS) Jaguars at Texans -  One of the games I'm giddy to watch. Although I'm a little miffed at how, after Hurricane Harvey, the Texans can host a home game. Either way, two young offenses going toe to toe. Texans have a better defense, but I'm excited to see what this game can be, and what the teams can be like for the future. I think the Texans, for Houston, will win one. Texans 20, Jaguars 14

(CBS) Raiders at Titans - This is the what could have been game. If Carr and Mariotta don't get hurt, what does 2016 season end like for them. The Raiders are stacked on offense and a stout defense. Titans aren't too shabby either. This is one of those games that will be back and forth and I think the Raiders squeak it out. Raiders 27, Titans 24

(FOX) Eagles at Redskins - Two teams I loathe. I think the Eagles with their 2nd year QB will have a good shot to take down the Redskins and their franchised three times QB. I wish neither good things, but if one team had to win, I'd take the Eagles over the Redskins. Eagles 34, Redskins 20

(CBS) Colts at Rams  - LA Rams back again, but they still suck. They are one of those teams that still do not have an identity. Colts have one, but Luck isn't playing and he might be out for a while. Thing is, Colts still have a crap defense. I think the Rams can steal a game here. Rams 21, Colts 17

(FOX) Seahawks at Packers - Holy crap. This is the game of the week! The Seahawks and the Packers. Look, at the end of the season this will probably be the NFC Championship game as well. I Fully expect one of those down to the minute back and forth games. I am excited to see this. I think both teams are Super Bowl Caliber, but at home, Aaron Rodgers is pretty damn good at home. Tight game. Packers 20, Seahawks 16

(FOX) Panthers at 49ers - I don't expect much out of the 49ers this season. They are in rebuilding mode. Panthers have an opportunity to return to the super bowl conversation, but this is a game they have to win in order to avoid the slump of last season. Panthers 27, 49ers 17

(NBC) Giants at Cowboys - These two always seem to kick the Sunday night season off. No different. Two hungry division rivals, both can take a commanding lead and show they are the real deal. I think the Giants, have a slightly better team. Definitely more experienced QB, and a receiver that I'm not sure the Dallas defense (weakfense) can contain. Giants 31, Cowboys 24

MONDAY NIGHT GAMES

(ESPN) Saints at Vikings - No home team has ever played in the Super Bowl. Trust me. The Vikings will not be the first. They have an okay offense, but the defense is stout. Most teams hosting the Super Bowl have abysmal records that season. Saint, forgot about you. Your team is not good. However, this should be a good game to kick off the MNF season. Saints 24, Vikings 20

(ESPN) Chargers at Broncos - Not sure what to think of the Chargers every season. Slow start. Exciting winning parts in the middle. Crap ending. If they are to ever be successful, because we all know LA demands that their teams aspire to be great, they have to avoid bad starts to the season. The Broncos, can be beat. The Chargers usually play them tough, so this should be a good game. But, they will lose. Broncos 27, Chargers 23

Happy NFL SEASON!
