NFL WEEK 17

Week 17 is here!

Thoughts from Week 16.

1. Until the start of next season, that team in Southern California, the ones that lost to the city that held the DNC Convention, neither shall not be mentioned.
2. Honestly, how dare you ruin my reverse perfect season.
3. You too, team with Dogs. You are both dead to me.
4. Here are the playoff scenarios. Too many crazy things. Better luck next year, Bucs.
5. Tough luck, Raiders. What a bad thing to happen to a seemingly good team.
6. Two QB's going down with broken fibula's less than an hour apart. Crazy.
7. Rodgers saying they could run the table, and then put themselves in position to win the division, bananas.
8. No I do not believe a guy who has played four fewer games due to suspension should be NFL MVP. I respect Brady, but no.
9. The Falcons can clinch a first round bye with a win.
10. The craziness in Buffalo right now. Coach fired. QB won't play because of injury guarantees.

Bonus:

As a reminder, since it is New Years's Day on Sunday, there are 16 games on Sunday.  No MNF.

Top 5 Teams

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys
3. Raiders
4. Chiefs
5. Falcons

Bottom 5 Teams

32. Team in Ohio no, not the Bengals -
31. 49ers - Well, almost.
30. Jaguars
29. Bears
28. Rams

Coaches with their ass to the fire

1. Jeff Fisher  FIRED
2. Mike McCoy
3. Marvin Lewis
3a. Gus Bradley FIRED
4. Hue Jackson- Survive a 1-15 season. I doubt it.
5. Mike McCarthy
6. Rex Ryan FIRED

Teams that are Dead to me

1. Southern California team that should be hit with a lightning bolt.
2. Ohio team not named the Bengals.

Last Week 8-8.

Sunday January 1st 2017

(CBS) Ravens (8-7) at Bengals (5-9-1) - The Ravens came within a yard of being a playoff team. Not bad for a team that has defied expectations all season. The Bengals, well they suck. Will have a lot of offseason questions to answer starting Monday. Should Marvin Lewis be fired. I say yes. The team has not been good/great under him. Ravens should finish the season with a W. Ravens 27, Bengals 17

(CBS) Texans (9-6) at Titans (8-7) - The Titans, had they won last week against the Jaguars, and the Texans lost, could be playing for the division. Neither happened, and the Texans are heading to the playoffs with a lot of QB questions. The Titans lost their QB to injury, but talk about an improved team. Look for them to be a playoff team next year. Texans 20, Titans 17

(FOX) Panthers (6-9) at Buccaneers (8-7) - The Panthers can put to rest this whole, Bucs have to win, they have to lose, nonsense if they just beat them. The Bucs, well they are in desperation mode. They have to win, and hope for a lot of losses. Won't happen. They will be sitting at home. But they can hold their heads high, they had an unexpectedly great season. I don't see them winning Sunday. A shootout will happen. Panthers 31, Bucs 28

(CBS) Jaguars (3-12) at Colts (7-8) - The Colts will go out a winner, but they have a lot of questions to answer this offseason. Jaguars need a new coach. Colts 27, Jaguars 20

(CBS) Patriots (13-2) at Dolphins (10-5) - Two playoff teams, jockeying for position. The Patriots still need to clinch the number one seed, the Dolphins the 5th or 6th seed. Big game. Dolphins need to get that run game going. The Patriots, a stingy unit. I expect the Patriots to barely win this game. Patriots 24, Dolphins 20

(FOX) Bears (3-12) at Vikings (7-8) - Both teams suck. Remember, the Vikings started 5-0, and look at them now. The Bears, well they are going to need a new QB this offseason. Vikings 20, Bears 7

(CBS) Bills (7-8) at Jets (4-11) - Tyrod Taylor isn't playing. The Ryan Brothers, fired. This is just a terrible game. The Bills really are going into a circus like atmosphere, Todd Bowles (Jets) most likely won't be back as coach. This is a game that really should just end in a tie. Bills 17, Jets 3

(FOX) Cowboys (13-2) at Eagles (6-9) - This is a lame duck game for the Cowboys. Don't risk injury with Dak but play him. Don't play Tony Romo, use Mark Sanchez. This is not a must win game with home field and number 1 seed blah blah blah locked up. With that, the Eagles beat a good Giants team. Can they repeat last weeks feat? Yes. I think the Cowboys play their starters into the third like a meaningless preseason game. I somehow think they score enough to beat the Eagles, who by all accounts are going to give them hell. Cowboys 27, Eagles 17

(CBS) Other Team in Ohio (1-14) at Steelers (10-5) - I hope the Steelers beat THAT team. Steelers 41, Other Team in Ohio 7

(FOX) Saints (7-8) at Falcons (10-5)  - The Falcons need to win in order to lock up the 1st round bye. The Saints have been good at being spoiler, but that Falcons offense is ridiculous. I think the Falcons win a high scoring game. Falcons 34, Saints 24

(FOX) Giants (10-5) at Redskins (8-6-1) - Ah division games. A must win game if the Redskins want to attempt to make the playoffs. Will they? Simple, win and they are in. I think they do. Redskins 20, Giants 10

(FOX) Cardinals (6-8-1) at Rams (4-11) - The Cardinals had a very disappointing season. No matter how big the win over the Seahawks last week, their season is over. The Rams, same. Terrible. Both teams are really just playing for draft seeding. Cardinals 27, Rams 13

(CBS) Raiders (12-3) at Broncos (8-7)  - The Raiders, even without Carr at QB, still have a good team. They have made the playoffs, and now it's a matter of position. Win, they get the 2nd seed, lose and KC wins, they are a wildcard team. McGloin, lots of questions. I don't see the Broncos really winning, but the Raiders are going to have a tough time. Raiders 17, Broncos 13

(CBS) Chiefs (11-4) at SoCal JACKASSES (5-10) - This sums up my feelings about the SoCal Dumpster Fires.

YOU RUINED MY VISION OF A PERFECT REVERSE SEASON FOR THAT OTHER OHIO TEAM. Chiefs, do me a favor, kick their teeth in. Chiefs 34, SoCal Nutsniffers 10

(FOX) Seahawks (9-5-1) at 49ers (2-13) - If the Seahawks win and Atlanta loses, then the Seahawks get the 1st round bye. They win, but I don't see the Falcons losing. Seahawks 27, 49ers 10

(NBC) Packers (9-6) at Lions (9-6)  - The Packers sure did do a lot to put themselves in position to win the division. Rodgers has taken them this far, and honestly he can take them a little further. The Lions, played great all season, exceeded expectations, but I don't see them really winning. Rodgers is on a mission. Packers 27,  Lions 20

Happy NEW YEAR!!!!

NFL Week 16

NFL WEEK 16 is here. The season is about two weeks from ending. For the Browns, it's been over since the Preseason.

Thoughts from Week 15

1. I wouldn't want to play the Packers right now. They are as hot/good as any team.
2. See also, The Giants.
3. The Titans and Bucs took HUGE steps this season. You're talking about two teams that were 1/2 in the 2015 draft. Then still had top 10 picks in the 2016 draft. Now both on the cusp of being playoff teams. Talking about building teams the right way, look at those two franchises.
4. Pay attention to those two franchises, Browns/49ers. You can learn a thing or 50.
5. Congrats to the Raiders for making the playoffs for the first time since I was 22. (14 years ago).6.
6. Dolphins have a winning season for the first time in a long time. Won't dethrone the Patriots, but that is a huge step forward for that franchise.
7. Cardinals, you have a lot of tough decisions to make in the offseason.
8. If the Falcons can win this week, and the Bucs lose, they win the division.
9. This time of the year is always exciting because of the "IF they win, and they lose, or this team ties" scenarios.
10. Chargers, please keep the Browns winless.

Bonus:

As a reminder, since it is Christmas on Sunday, there are 12 games on Saturday, 2 games Sunday this week.

Top 5 Teams

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys
3. Raiders
4. Seahawks
5. Chiefs

Bottom 5 Teams

32. Browns - Not even close.
31. 49ers - Well, almost.
30. Jaguars
29. Bears
28. Rams

Coaches with their ass to the fire

1. Jeff Fisher  FIRED
2. Mike McCoy
3. Marvin Lewis
3a. Gus Bradley FIRED
4. Hue Jackson- Survive an 0-16 season. I doubt it.
5. Mike McCarthy

Last week 13-3

Thursday December 22nd

(NBC) Giants (10-4) at Eagles (5-9)-  Look, division games are always tough. The Eagles, have nothing to play for. Maybe draft position. They improved slightly from last season, BUT, when you start out 3-0, and then only have 5 wins, is that really a successful season? Meanwhile, The Giants can clinch a playoff spot with a win, and can also get one step closer to a division title with a monday night loss for Dallas. Giants should stop the rookie QB. Giants 20, Eagles 10

Saturday, December 24th

(CBS) Dolphins (9-4) at Bills (7-7)- I'm all about the Dolphins making the playoffs. Would be great, considering they have been bad in recent seasons. The Bills, well they have lots of problems. Probably will be needing a new head coach, as Rex Ryan isn't as good as he thinks he is. It's in Buffalo, I really don't think the Dolphins will go in and get a W in that cold. Bills 17, Dolphins 14

(CBS) Jets (4-10) at Patriots (12-2)- Patriots still have a shot at the number one seed. You think that they won't come out and shoot down the Jets? Wrong. They are going to beat them down.  Ugg boots for everyone, in the ass, courtesy of one Tom Brady. Patriots 31, Jets 10

(CBS) Titans (8-6) at Jaguars (2-12) - The Titans, if they win, can go into their final game looking to clinch the division against the Texans. They have surprised everyone by winning this season. They have already beat the jaguars, and should dispatch them with that run game of theirs. Titans 24, Jaguars 9

(FOX) Vikings (7-7) at Packers (8-6)- The Packers are 4-0 since Rodgers said his "we can run the table" line. If they win this week, and the Lions lose, next weeks Packers/Lions game will be for the division. The Vikings, are 2-7 since starting 5-0, that is not a fluke. Just a product of a soft schedule. I believe, at home, The Packers will prevail. Packers 28, Vikings 16

(CBS) Chargers (5-9) at Browns (0-14) - Well, they are two losses away from history. Don't start winning now, Browns. Chargers 34, Browns 7

(FOX) Redskins (7-6-1) at Bears (3-11) - The Redskins were a wildcard team just two weeks ago, now they are not. That loss to Dallas really hurt them on Thanksgiving. They really don't have a shot to make the playoffs. Not with the Lions and Buccaneers fighting for the second wildcard spot right now. Bears, well they have a top 10 defense, but a bottom 5 offense. Redskins can use this to ensure they have a winning season. Redskins 24, Bears 9

(FOX) Falcons (9-5) at Panthers (6-8) - The Panthers have managed to put a little win streak together. The Falcons know they have to score early, and often. They of the back to back 40 plus point games. They have to hold off the streaking Bucs or else they could be in risk of losing the division. Falcons squeak by. Falcons 27, Panthers 24

(CBS) Colts (7-7) at Raiders (11-3) - The Raiders, combined with a Chiefs loss, could win the AFC West outright with a win this week. They face a Colts team that will miss the playoffs for the second consecutive year. The Colts need to really focus in the draft and find a defense. That is the Achilles heel of this team. I think a shootout is in order, with the Raiders coming out on top. Raiders 34, Colts 31

(FOX) Buccaneers (8-6) at Saints (6-8) - Just because they are going to miss the playoffs, doesn't mean they can't spoil others parades. The Saints can damage the Bucs chances by beating them. The Bucs have a stingy defense, and was really only undone by Winston's 4 turnovers last week. The Saints, dropped 48 in the desert. They won't score that many, but I think this will be a close game, with the Bucs prevailing. Buccaneers 27, Saints 21

(FOX) Cardinals (5-8-1) at Seahawks (9-4-1) - Talk about a tale of two teams. Since they tied, the teams have gone in opposite directions. The Seahawks won the division, while the Cardinals, who was supposed to challenge for it, is 4 games back in the win column. This won't end in a tie, but it will be a close Seahawks win. Seahawks 13, Cardinals 10

(FOX) 49ers (1-13) at Rams (4-10) - Right now the 49ers are firmly locked into that number two draft spot. The Rams, fresh off of firing their coach, are in the top 10 and both teams need lots of help on both sides of the ball. The Rams will generate some points, with Goff finally showing why he can be a middle tier QB in this league for a few years. Rams 17, 49ers 13

(NFL) Bengals (5-8-1) at Texans (8-6) - If the Texans want to make the playoffs, they have to stop a Bengals offense that can put up some points. Problem is, the Texans offense is like if a tornado hits a trailer park. I think the Bengals pull off the upset. Bengals 38, Texans 20

CHRISTMAS DAY!

Sunday December 25th

(NFL) Ravens (8-6) at Steelers (9-5) - Plain and simple, this is for the division. If the Steelers win, they take it. If the Ravens win this game and next week, they take the division. Never an easy game. Both teams are typically good and put up a fight. Matter of fact, since they became the Ravens, they have won 20 games against the Steelers. The Steelers have won 21.  I think the Steelers squeak by and make it to the playoffs. Steelers 16, Ravens 12

(NBC) Broncos (8-6) at Chiefs (10-4) - The Broncos, in order to have a shot at the last wildcard spot, have to win this game and hope for a Dolphins loss. They did not beat the Chiefs earlier this season. They won't this game, either. The Chiefs have to win out, and hope for a Raiders loss to claim the division. Otherwise, they will be a wildcard team. I don't see the Chiefs losing. Won't be a high scoring affair. Chiefs 21, Broncos 14

Monday December 26th

(ESPN) Lions (9-5) at Cowboys (12-2) - If the Giants lose on Thursday this week, The Cowboys will be division champs. I don't see that happening. The Cowboys have to win. The Lions can take one step closer to the playoffs by winning. It's going to be a tall order considering the run game Dallas puts forth, and a rookie capable of making teams pay with his feet and his patience in the pocket. The Lions can win still make the playoffs, but they will have to fight for it next week against the Packers. Dallas wins. Cowboys 27, Lions 14

NFL Week 15!

NFL Week 15 is upon us.

Thoughts from Week 14

1. Dallas, I knew they would lose. They need to rebound this week, because if they lose, and NY Wins, they could be in a dogfight for a 1st or potentially 5th seed. These games matter.
2. Patriots, killin it.
3. That Tampa Bay team is dangerous.
4. See also, Tennessee.
5. Chiefs, add them to the mix. The Bucs dispatched them and the Seahawks in consecutive weeks.
6. If the Packers continue this pace, they could be a team no one wants to face in the playoffs.
7. Jeff Fisher got a two year extension this year, and was fired this week. Not surprising considering they got the crap kicked out of them this week.
8. Cardinals proved that no matter how much talent, they will cut you.
9. Browns, so close. Keep it going. three more games. Three more games.
10. Falcons are barely keeping the Bucs at bay. They need to keep winning or else Tampa will win this division.

Last Week 10-6

Top 5 Teams

1. Patriots
2. Chiefs
3. Cowboys
4. Seahawks
5. Raiders

Bottom 5 Teams (No Change)

32. Browns
31. 49ers
30. Jaguars
29. Jets
28. Bears

Coaches with their ass to the fire

1. Jeff Fisher  FIRED
2. Mike McCoy
3. Marvin Lewis
3a. Gus Bradley
4. Hue Jackson- Survive an 0-16 season. I doubt it.
5. Mike McCarthy

Thursday December 15th

(NBC) Rams (4-9) at Seahawks (8-4-1) - Seahawks are basically division champs. No one can/will catch them. Rams are terrible, and probably will get routed for the second week in a row. Seahawks 27, Rams 3

Saturday December 17th

(NFL) Dolphins (8-5) at Jets (4-9) - I for one would like to see the Dolphins finish with 10 wins. The Jets should just hope for a top 10 pick and find a decent non turnover prone QB in the draft. Dolphins 20, Jets 14

Sunday December 18th

(FOX) Packers (7-6) at Bears (3-10) - If the Packers want a chance, a slight sliver of a chance to make the playoffs, the team that pulverized the Seahawks last week, must show up and do the same against the Bears. Rodgers has to will this team with a  4-5 touchdown day. Packers 37, Bears 10

(CBS) Jaguars (2-11) at Texans (7-6) - The Texans, hold the slimmest of margins for the division. This is a must win game for them. They can beat a lowly Jaguars team, but it won't be easy. Texans 17, Jaguars 13

(CBS) Browns (0-13) at Bills (6-7) - If you don't know my stance on the Browns, well. 0-16 baby. Bills 34, Browns 6

(FOX) Eagles (5-8) at Ravens (7-6) - Their loss to the Patriots, as the Steelers are surging, couldn't have come at a worst time. Now the Ravens have to win out, in order to get into the playoffs. They will beat the Eagles, but they have to hope the Bengals beat the Steelers. Ravens 28, Eagles 13

(CBS) Titans (7-6) at Chiefs (10-3) - Honestly, I can see this being a letdown game for the Chiefs. They've had big wins, but lately teams like the Bucs have given them problems. Big problem, the Titans are very much built like the Bucs. So this could be a game where we see the Chiefs fall. I am going with the Titans. Titans 20, Chiefs 16

(FOX) Lions (9-4) at Giants (9-4) -  One of the hottest teams (Lions) can take a big step toward being 2nd or perhaps 1st if Dallas keeps stumbling. The Giants can gain one step closer to a division title. I think the Lions win a close game. Lions 21, Giants 17

(CBS) Colts (6-7) at Vikings (7-6) - Neither team is really good. The Colts are mathematically eliminated IF the Texans win, and they lose. So either way, they have to play hard. Vikings will have a hard time making the playoffs. They need a lot of help down the stretch. Vikes win a close one. Vikings 17, Colts 13

(CBS) Steelers (8-5)  at Bengals (5-7-1) - I think the Steelers will win. Mostly because the Bengals have self imploded and Marvin Lewis could and probably should be fired this year. They have underachieved every year and not really taking any strides toward being a super bowl contender. Steelers 34, Bengals 17

(FOX) Saints (5-8) at Cardinals (5-7-1) - The Cardinals are a disappointment and so are the Saints. Honestly this should be the highest scoring game of the week. Saints 37, Cardinals 34

(FOX) 49ers (1-12) at Falcons (8-5) - I honestly think the Falcons are going to do the same thing they did to the Rams, destroy the 49ers. Falcons 35, 49ers 10

(CBS) Patriots (11-2) at Broncos (8-5) - Broncos are in a must win situation. They have to win, but we all know the Hoodie won't let the Patriots lay down and lose. The Patriots will come out and score, but it's going to be a defensive game. Patriots 24, Broncos 16

(CBS) Raiders (10-3) at Chargers (5-8) - Won't be an easy win, but the Raiders should come out on top. Division games are tough and the Chargers won't turnover and let the Raiders win. should be an interesting game. Raiders 27, Chargers 20

(NBC) Buccaneers (8-5) at Cowboys (11-2) - In order to keep the division out of reach, the Cowboys have to win this game. In order to keep pace with the Falcons, the Bucs have to win. Either way, this is going to be one of those games where you should be on the edge of your seat. Both teams need to win, so look for some form of desperation from both. I think the Cowboys win. Cowboys 24, Bucs 14

Monday December 19th

(ESPN) Panthers (5-8) at Redskins (7-5-1) - Panthers, no playoffs. Redskins, outside chance right now. With the Bucs hanging on to a slim lead in the wildcard race right now, the Redskins have to win out or they will miss out. the Panthers defense is not great but they can play like a playoff caliber defense, problem is, which team shows up. I think the Redskins win a close game. Redskins 30, Panthers 27

Happy Week 15!

NFL Week 14

NFL Week 14 is here!!!!

Thoughts from Week 13

1. The Falcons/Chiefs game was the best game last week.
2. AFC West is by far the best division. Honestly if you put the Chargers in a different division, they would be pretty good this season.
3. LIONS are pretty good. Now they just have to close out the division and beat the Packers.
4. Jeff Fisher is "off" the hot seat. Terrible performance, rewarded with two year contract extension.
5. So much for the Dolphins being good, they got their ass beat in Baltimore.
6. 49ers are pushing hard for that number two spot after they got destroyed by the Bears.
7. Well, the Redskins have to win three out of the last 4 to be a playoff contender, and that might be a tall order.
8. Since 2004, no one in the NFC East has repeated as division champion. It has been a revolving door year to year. That will not change this year (last year, Washington).
9. Back to your losing ways, Browns.
10. The Buccaneers are going to push for the NFC south division as they are currently beating lots of good teams.

Last Week 10-5

Top 5 Teams

1. Raiders
2. Cowboys
3. Patriots
4. Seahawks
5. Chiefs

Bottom 5 Teams

32. Browns
31. 49ers
30. Jaguars
29. Jets
28. Bears

Coaches with their ass to the fire

1. Jeff Fisher  HOW DID YOU GET AN EXTENSION
2. Mike McCoy
3. Marvin Lewis
3a. Gus Bradley
4. Hue Jackson- Survive an 0-16 season. I doubt it.
5. Mike McCarthy

Thursday December 8

(NBC) Raiders  (10-2) at Chiefs (9-3) - Basically this is for the division. Big BIg BIG game. I want to see if the Raiders are for real. This is a test game to see if they are. The Chiefs, too. They both can claim to be the best if they win. But they have to win. The Raiders defense is not great, but their offense makes up for it. The Chiefs, inverse. They have a good defense, shaky offense, know what that means? We could see a shootout, unless Mack gets going. Raiders 27, Chiefs 24

Sunday December 11

(CBS) Steelers (7-5) at Bills (6-6) - Steelers are in win at all costs mode. Mathematically, the Bills are eliminated, but they can play spoiler, and if we know anything about Rex, it's that he loves misery and loves to inflict it on everyone especially when he knows that he himself can frolic in it. Steelers have to keep pace with the Ravens. Will be a close game. Steelers 20, Bills 17

(CBS) Broncos (8-4) at Titans (6-6) - Much like the Steelers, both of these teams are playing to keep pace in their division, and for a potential wildcard spot. The Titans, whether they get in or not, have shown a vast improvement this season, and that will only go up. I am going to go with the Broncos ONLY because of that defense. Broncos 17, Titans 13

(FOX) Redskins (6-5-1) and Eagles (5-7) - Division games are the best. Plus, to see DeSean Jackson exact revenge on the Eagles is always fun to watch considering I hate both teams with the intensity of 700 black holes gravitating toward the sun. I really don't care, but I care enough for the Eagles to knock the Redskins out of the playoffs. Eagles 24, Redskins 20

(FOX) Cardinals (5-6-1) at Dolphins (7-5) - Dolphins were smacked back down to earth, but in the frigid baltimore temps. Back at home, hosting the underperforming Cardinals, I can see a shootout, with the Dolphins barely scraping by. Dolphins 34, Cardinals 30

(FOX) Chargers (5-7) at Panthers (4-8) - Both teams, out of the playoff hunt. Panthers look as bad as their record indicates. They play good at home. Chargers going all the way across the country, gonna lose a shoot out. Panthers 27, Chargers 24

(CBS) Bengals (4-7-1) at Browns (0-12) -  For the love of all that is holy, Bengals continue this streak for the Browns. Bengals 34, Browns 7

(CBS) Bears (3-9) at Lions (8-4) - Lions control their own destiny. They have the Bears at home, and can continue to not ONLY push for the division, but for the potential first round bye/2nd seed combo. They have to win this game, they have to build a lead on the Packers. Lions 31, Bears 13

(CBS) Texans (6-6) at Colts (6-6) - Division slap fight! Colts seem to have found their offense, while the Texans seem to have left theirs in a suitcase just outside the airport. Both defenses suck, but the winner of this game will take one step closer to winning a three way battle with the Titans for this terrible division. Colts 24, Texans 16

(FOX) Vikings (6-6) at Jaguars (2-10) - Jaguars should just sit back and enjoy another top 3 pick. But they won't. They are going to come at the Vikings because right now they have nothing to lose. The Vikings, well they are 1-6 since that great 5-0 start. They should dispatch the lowly Jaguars. Vikings 20, Jaguars 10

(CBS) Jets (3-9) at 49ers ( 1-11) - Ouch, both teams suck. I remember when these two used to be routinely good. Now not so much. Both will be picking in the top 7 come April. Jets get the W. Kinda happy this is happening to that bag of mustard Chip Kelly. Jets 24, 49ers 14

(FOX) Saints (5-7) at Buccaneers (7-5) - We will see if these Bucs are for real. The Saints are never an easy out. The Bucs have beat two decently good teams in a row. The Saints can score, and the Bucs Defense is coming alive at the right time. Who takes the crown? Well, I think the Saints in a close game. Saints 20, Bucs 17

(FOX) Falcons  (7-5) at Rams (4-8) - If the Falcons want to claim this division, they have to win this game. Especially if the Bucs manage to beat the Saints. Falcons 31, Rams 10

(FOX) Seahawks (8-3-1) at Packers (6-6) - Even in Lambeau, and as bad as the defense is, they are grasping at straws if they believe they can win out and make the playoffs. the Seahawks, well they can win this game, but despite their record, they aren't that great. Will be a close game, I can see the Packers stealing this game, only because of the cold weather. Seahawks 20, Packers 17

(NBC) Cowboys (11-1) at Giants (8-4) - I would like to say that the Cowboys will win, because just like their division foes, I hate the Giants. BUT. This streak started and will  end with the Giants. For some reason, the Giants always play really great against the Cowboys. The Giants will be without JPP. I want to be wrong, and say the Cowboys will win. But I think the Giants take them down. Giants 24, Cowboys 20

Monday December 12th

(ESPN) Ravens (7-5) at Patriots (10-2) - Patriots, at home, without Gronk? These games are always great. The Ravens for some reason always get up and play the Patriots tough. However, Brady is on some sort of revenge track since his suspension ended. He may not be MVP of the league, but he is going to put up some great numbers. Patriots need to watch out as the Ravens are one of those "WE HAVE TO WIN NOW" Teams. Patriots squeak by. Patriots 27, Ravens 23

Happy Week 14!

NFL Week 13

Happy week 13!

Thoughts from Week 12

1. That Kirk Cousins guy is about to get paid.
2. The Cardinals are done. First time Coach Arians has had a losing record this late in the season.
3. Seattle? What happened in Tampa.
4. Cowboys continue to win. 10 games in a row. Which is crazy. Terrible part? Their defense is going to be the one to let them down in the playoffs. They need to address that defense in the offseason.
5. Browns, 4 games to finish what you've started.
6. Teams might want to steer clear of the Dolphins right now.
7. I thought the Vikings might take that game from the Lions, but the Lions, like the Dolphins, might not want to be tampered with right now.
8. How bout Da Raiders. They are pretty good. Again, another team that has defensive issues.
9. Texans, will lose that division. Colts or Titans could steal it.
10. So many playoff worthy teams from last season are really bad this season. Makes you wonder if the schedule is tougher, or if they were just a product of luck last season (Jets, Cardinals, Panthers).

Last week 12-4 Woooooo

Thursday December 1st

(NBC) Cowboys (10-1) at Vikings (6-5) - Trap game on the horizon. Why? Look at the Vikings defense. Good enough to win games that matter. The Vikings are in a must win game. Started out 5-0, 1-5 since. Not really all on the defense, because the offense sucks. But, the defense sees this as a big, must win game. Sure you have two rookies playing for Dallas, and this is a test to see if the rookie wall is a real thing. I think it's a close game, that Dallas barely gets by.  Dallas 20, Vikings 17

Sunday December 4th

(CBS) Chiefs (8-3) at Falcons (7-4) - Honestly this is a game where we finally see if the Falcons are a legit playoff contender. Right now, they have a winning record, but they haven't really beat a playoff contending team. IF they want to be considered elite, this is a game they have to win. The Chiefs are a wildcard playoff team as of right now, if the Falcons want to legitimize their season, win this game. They won't though. Chiefs 24, Falcons 20

(FOX) Lions (7-4) at Saints (5-6) - Know how many of the Lions win are come from behind? if you said all 7, you're right. They haven't really lead a game start to finish, but yet they lead a weak NFC North division. Saints, well they are a product of a division that isn't great, but two 6plus win teams. I don't know if the Lions are for real, but to really seize that weak division, they need to win games like this. I think the Saints sneak a W this week. Saints 24, Lions 21

(FOX) Rams (4-7) at Patriots (9-2) - If anyone is expecting the Rams to go into New England and get a W, let me tell you this....

The Patriots are going to make the Rams limp all the way back to Los Angeles. Patriots 34, Rams 7

(CBS) Broncos (7-4) at Jaguars (2-9) - The Broncos need a bounce back game, and this is the perfect team (other than the Browns) to do that against. Broncos need this win to keep pace with the Chiefs and Dolphins for the wild card spot. Broncos 34, Jaguars 13

(CBS) Texans (6-5) at Packers (5-6) - Can the Packers run the table? Yes. Can the Texans win enough to win the division? No. They have a brutal schedule the last four games and they can barely finish at .500. Their offense is sputtering. The Packers, well their defense will be their demise. It's at Lambeau, only reason I'm picking the Packers. Packers 31, Texans 20

(FOX) Eagles (5-6) at Bengals (3-7-1) - Both teams, out of the playoff hunt. Neither can make it. So this is a game where it's for 1. Pride. 2. Draft position. Right now, the Bengals are locked into that 10th spot. They should just stay there. Eagles 27, Bengals 20

(CBS) Dolphins (7-4) at Ravens (6-5) - Both are in the playoff hunt. The Ravens, in a tight race for the division, and the Dolphins barely hanging on to that 6th playoff seed. Dolphins keep coming from behind and winning. This is a game they can jump out to a lead, and maintain. I think the Dolphins show they are legit this week. Dolphins 24, Ravens 16

(FOX) 49ers (1-10) at Bears (2-9) - Battle of two teams no one gives two ounces of monkey urine about. 49ers though, played great last week in defeat. Bears, well they just hibernated like 6 weeks ago and won't be coming out until free agency. 49ers pick up win numero dos. 49ers 28, Bears 10

(CBS) Bills (6-5) at Raiders (9-2) - Raiders are one of those teams that fly too close to the sun, hoping they don't get burned. 3 weeks in a row now. Eventually their luck will run out. The Bills are one of those teams that could pounce on the Raiders and hold them down defensively. Problem is, which Bills team shows up. They are not consistent week to week. Raiders, defensively they have a lot of problems. Offense keeps bailing them out. This week, they will score early and often. Raiders 34, Bills 20

(FOX) Giants (8-3) at Steelers (6-5) - Steelers want to keep pace, this is a must win game this late in the season. Giants will have some problems scoring. Finally some breakout scores for the Steelers high powered offense. Steelers 31, Giants 20

(FOX) Redskins (6-4-1) at Cardinals (4-6-1) - Cardinals are bad. Just bad. Offense. Defense. Every phase of the game is bad. The Redskins, well they lost a close game on the road in Dallas. I would like to believe they will win this week, but I think the Cardinals shut Kirk Cousins and that offense down. Cardinals 24, Redskins 17

(FOX) Buccaneers (6-5) at Chargers (5-6) - I would like to think that the Buccaneers build on their big, dominating win over the Seahawks, but they won't. They will lose. Chargers 24, Bucs 13

(NBC) Panthers (4-7) at Seahawks (7-3-1) - Boy that was a big letdown for Seattle last week. A game they have to win, but looked terrible in. Last season, the Panthers beat the Seahawks, twice. Does that happen this season? No. The Panthers are abysmal. The Seahawks, well they have this division wrapped up, but they don't look like a Super Bowl team. Especially the way the Bucs dressed them down last week. This will be a close game, and Seattle will win it. Seahawks 24, Panthers 20

Monday December 5th

(ESPN) Colts (5-6) at Jets (3-8)- Not a game I care to watch. Colts will win, basically because the Jets are an elephant poop of a team. Colts 27, Jets 17

Happy NFL Week 13!
