NFL WEEK 17

Week 17 is here!

Thoughts from Week 16.

1. Until the start of next season, that team in Southern California, the ones that lost to the city that held the DNC Convention, neither shall not be mentioned.
2. Honestly, how dare you ruin my reverse perfect season.
3. You too, team with Dogs. You are both dead to me.
4. Here are the playoff scenarios. Too many crazy things. Better luck next year, Bucs.
5. Tough luck, Raiders. What a bad thing to happen to a seemingly good team.
6. Two QB's going down with broken fibula's less than an hour apart. Crazy.
7. Rodgers saying they could run the table, and then put themselves in position to win the division, bananas.
8. No I do not believe a guy who has played four fewer games due to suspension should be NFL MVP. I respect Brady, but no.
9. The Falcons can clinch a first round bye with a win.
10. The craziness in Buffalo right now. Coach fired. QB won't play because of injury guarantees.

Bonus:

As a reminder, since it is New Years's Day on Sunday, there are 16 games on Sunday.  No MNF.

4. Hue Jackson- Survive a 1-15 season. I doubt it.
5. Mike McCarthy
6. Rex Ryan FIRED

Teams that are Dead to me

1. Southern California team that should be hit with a lightning bolt.
2. Ohio team not named the Bengals.

Last Week 8-8.

Sunday January 1st 2017

(CBS) Ravens (8-7) at Bengals (5-9-1) - The Ravens came within a yard of being a playoff team. Not bad for a team that has defied expectations all season. The Bengals, well they suck. Will have a lot of offseason questions to answer starting Monday. Should Marvin Lewis be fired. I say yes. The team has not been good/great under him. Ravens should finish the season with a W. Ravens 27, Bengals 17

(CBS) Texans (9-6) at Titans (8-7) - The Titans, had they won last week against the Jaguars, and the Texans lost, could be playing for the division. Neither happened, and the Texans are heading to the playoffs with a lot of QB questions. The Titans lost their QB to injury, but talk about an improved team. Look for them to be a playoff team next year. Texans 20, Titans 17

(FOX) Panthers (6-9) at Buccaneers (8-7) - The Panthers can put to rest this whole, Bucs have to win, they have to lose, nonsense if they just beat them. The Bucs, well they are in desperation mode. They have to win, and hope for a lot of losses. Won't happen. They will be sitting at home. But they can hold their heads high, they had an unexpectedly great season. I don't see them winning Sunday. A shootout will happen. Panthers 31, Bucs 28

(CBS) Jaguars (3-12) at Colts (7-8) - The Colts will go out a winner, but they have a lot of questions to answer this offseason. Jaguars need a new coach. Colts 27, Jaguars 20

(CBS) Patriots (13-2) at Dolphins (10-5) - Two playoff teams, jockeying for position. The Patriots still need to clinch the number one seed, the Dolphins the 5th or 6th seed. Big game. Dolphins need to get that run game going. The Patriots, a stingy unit. I expect the Patriots to barely win this game. Patriots 24, Dolphins 20

(FOX) Bears (3-12) at Vikings (7-8) - Both teams suck. Remember, the Vikings started 5-0, and look at them now. The Bears, well they are going to need a new QB this offseason. Vikings 20, Bears 7

(CBS) Bills (7-8) at Jets (4-11) - Tyrod Taylor isn't playing. The Ryan Brothers, fired. This is just a terrible game. The Bills really are going into a circus like atmosphere, Todd Bowles (Jets) most likely won't be back as coach. This is a game that really should just end in a tie. Bills 17, Jets 3

(FOX) Cowboys (13-2) at Eagles (6-9) - This is a lame duck game for the Cowboys. Don't risk injury with Dak but play him. Don't play Tony Romo, use Mark Sanchez. This is not a must win game with home field and number 1 seed blah blah blah locked up. With that, the Eagles beat a good Giants team. Can they repeat last weeks feat? Yes. I think the Cowboys play their starters into the third like a meaningless preseason game. I somehow think they score enough to beat the Eagles, who by all accounts are going to give them hell. Cowboys 27, Eagles 17

(CBS) Other Team in Ohio (1-14) at Steelers (10-5) - I hope the Steelers beat THAT team. Steelers 41, Other Team in Ohio 7

(FOX) Saints (7-8) at Falcons (10-5)  - The Falcons need to win in order to lock up the 1st round bye. The Saints have been good at being spoiler, but that Falcons offense is ridiculous. I think the Falcons win a high scoring game. Falcons 34, Saints 24

(FOX) Giants (10-5) at Redskins (8-6-1) - Ah division games. A must win game if the Redskins want to attempt to make the playoffs. Will they? Simple, win and they are in. I think they do. Redskins 20, Giants 10

(FOX) Cardinals (6-8-1) at Rams (4-11) - The Cardinals had a very disappointing season. No matter how big the win over the Seahawks last week, their season is over. The Rams, same. Terrible. Both teams are really just playing for draft seeding. Cardinals 27, Rams 13

(CBS) Raiders (12-3) at Broncos (8-7)  - The Raiders, even without Carr at QB, still have a good team. They have made the playoffs, and now it's a matter of position. Win, they get the 2nd seed, lose and KC wins, they are a wildcard team. McGloin, lots of questions. I don't see the Broncos really winning, but the Raiders are going to have a tough time. Raiders 17, Broncos 13

(CBS) Chiefs (11-4) at SoCal JACKASSES (5-10) - This sums up my feelings about the SoCal Dumpster Fires.

YOU RUINED MY VISION OF A PERFECT REVERSE SEASON FOR THAT OTHER OHIO TEAM. Chiefs, do me a favor, kick their teeth in. Chiefs 34, SoCal Nutsniffers 10

(FOX) Seahawks (9-5-1) at 49ers (2-13) - If the Seahawks win and Atlanta loses, then the Seahawks get the 1st round bye. They win, but I don't see the Falcons losing. Seahawks 27, 49ers 10

(NBC) Packers (9-6) at Lions (9-6)  - The Packers sure did do a lot to put themselves in position to win the division. Rodgers has taken them this far, and honestly he can take them a little further. The Lions, played great all season, exceeded expectations, but I don't see them really winning. Rodgers is on a mission. Packers 27,  Lions 20

Happy NEW YEAR!!!!
