NFL Week 7

Last week, 6-8. Overall, 50-41.

Thoughts from last week

-Sorry, Packers. Your season is over. Rodgers going down is not only devastating for the Packers, for but for the NFL as a whole.
-Also there goes my Super Bowl pick. DAMNIT RODGERS. DRINK MORE MILK
- Browns, yours has been over since that Thursday Night Chiefs/Patriots game, and you didn't even play.
- Chiefs can't win them all, but it also illustrates my point with the Steelers. Plays down and gets obliterated by "okay teams" (see the Jaguars) and then plays up and beats excellent teams.
- Raiders, what's going on in Oakland? Fully thought you'd be competing for a playoff spot.
- Also, Broncos? Really? You let that Bum Eli beat you last week. Dead. To. Me. They were supposed to run the table in reverse.
- Don't look now, but the Rams might actually be pretty good. Clearly playing in L.A. is good for them.
- I think the Cardinals winning, was a facade. Just because you get Adrian Peterson, doesn't mean much. So many glaring holes on the team. Maybe I'm wrong, but even at the end of the game, they still had a chance of losing.
- 49ers, you still give me hope.

Thursday October 19th

(CBS) Chiefs (5-1) at Raiders (2-4)- I honestly thought that the raiders would be good this season. Clearly, I was wrong. They have continued to look like a team that is put together with the last few strips of scotch tape. 2-4? Terrible. They clearly should be better, but for some reason, they have not played good. The Chiefs, one loss won't change anything. They have been playing good, and even had a chance to win last week. They bounce back this week though. Chiefs 24, Raiders 17

Sunday October 22nd

(FOX) Buccaneers (2-3) at Bills (3-2) - The Buccaneers, after being down by a huge amount, came back to nearly win the game. They are supposed to be better than their record indicates, but if we are being honest, the Bucs are really about a year or two from being consistently good. The Bills, not much to say. Winning record, but their offense is shaky at best. I think the Bucs steal one on the road. Bucs 21, Bills 13

(CBS) Panthers (4-2) at Bears (2-4) - Bears beat a really good team last week. Was impressed. I'm not sure I'm sold on the Panthers. They aren't really playing great, I mean they should win this game, but at some point they are going to be exposed that they really aren't a good team. Panthers 27, Bears 16

(CBS) Titans (3-3) at Browns (0-6) - I have made it really clear that either the 49ers or Browns should run the table in reverse. Don't care who does it, but just lose so we don't get it confused. Titans 31, Browns 20

(FOX) Saints (3-2) at Packers (4-2) - I know there are 52 men on a roster, but when your best man goes down, well teams typically crumble. I expect the Packers to do that. I don't know much about the backup, but I'm going to guess it's his first start in the NFL. Going to be a Saints party at Lambeau. Saints 34, Packers 10

(CBS) Jaguars (3-2) at Colts (2-4) - Again, not sure what to make of the Jaguars. Destroys the Steelers one week, gets beat by the Rams the following week. Truly the Jekyll/Hyde of the NFL right now. Colts, well, I think they are about as god as can be expected. Jaguars should win a close game. Jaguars 20, Colts 17

(FOX) Cardinals (3-3) at Rams (4-2) - Rams want to take a step at claiming the division crown? This is the game they have to win. They lose, it opens the division up again. I think the Cardinals win a thriller though. Cardinals 24, Rams 20

(FOX) Jets (3-3) at Dolphins (3-2)  - I think the Jets were robbed on a TD last week, which would have made that Patriots/Jets game a lot more interesting. Jets aren't as bad as they are portrayed. Dolphins, either. QB play, and the inconsistencies will be the death of both teams. I think the Dolphins win a close one. Dolphins 27, Jets 24

(CBS) Ravens (3-3) at Vikings (4-2) - Vikings have a chance to take control of this division, with Rodgers out, they can establish the dominance they seek. The Ravens, well they lost to the Bears last week, so I don't expect them to put up much of a fight against a formidable defense. Vikings 31, Ravens 20

(FOX) Cowboys (2-3) at 49ers (0-6) - Cowboys, don't make me excommunicate you. Cowboys 27, 49ers 10

(CBS) Seahawks (3-2) at Giants (1-5) - In a season where they have looked terrible, I honestly think the Giants can take the cross country flying Seahawks, and beat them. Giants 20, Seahawks 13

(CBS) Bengals (2-3) at Steelers (4-2) - Bengals are another one of those teams that has me wondering how they can be so bad. Sure, they've won two games, but geez, they look bad. Steelers, well again they don't appear to be as good as their record. I think they win, but I don't think that it's going to be a beatdown. Steelers 24, Bengals 16

(CBS) Broncos (3-2) at Chargers (2-4) - If it weren't for the defense, the Broncos probably would be like 1-4 or something. The Chargers haven't played that great, but it's a home game and the SoCal crowd is good one. I think that the Chargers lead this game, and then lose it. Sucks, but that's been that way for them for a while now. Broncos 20, Chargers 17

(NBC) Falcons (3-2) at Patriots (4-2) - It will forever be known that the Falcons had a huge lead, and choked it away. They lost the biggest game of their life because they could not close it. The Patriots though, let's be honest. This season, their defense is legit crap. They have had a 300 yard passer against them...EVERY. GAME. THIS. SEASON. Even last week, McCown threw for over 350. So, that tells you about the Pats defense. The Falcons can win, but the Super Bowl game will forever haunt them. Falcons 27, Patriots 20

Monday October 23rd

(ESPN) Redskins (3-2) at Eagles (5-1) - Redskins have been hot and cold. Not really all that great. The Eagles, have been playing really well. Solid defense. Good offense. One that is going to give a lot of team matchup problems. Carson Wentz, turning out to be a good player for the Eagles. They need to do all they can to surround him with weapons, because he will find them. I think it's another win for the Eagles. Filthadelphia 34, Washington Idiots 24

Happy NFL Week 7!
