NFL Week 8

Thoughts about week 7:

1. The Amari Cooper trade by the Cowboys is a good one, but does nothing to really address the problem...their defense. They have guys returning from suspension, but their defense needs some quality cornerbacks/safeties.
2. Honestly, if the Chiefs can tighten some things on defense, they are going to be hoisting the Lombardi trophy. That Mahomes kid is about as good as a second year QB and beyond can be. Chiefs  are gonna get tested with the Broncos defense, but they will prevail.
3. Jaguars, what in the hell happened to you.
4. Quietly, the Lions have evened their record.
5. It's okay to tank, Cardinals.
6. The NFC East is controlled by the Redskins, and they could run away with a weak, weak division. There is a reason no team has one the NFC East two season in a row dating back to the early 2000's. Consistency.
7. Raiders, see number 5. You have three first rounders next year.
8. The LeVeon Bell saga continues.
9. Giants, see 5. You also, 49ers.
10. Quietly, the Rams are 7-0. And playing great. If it's a Rams/Chiefs Super Bowl, that would be pretty cool.

Bye Week Teams: Falcons, Cowboys, Titans, Chargers

Week 7

Thursday Night!

(FOX/NFL) Dolphins at Texans -  The Dolphins are going to be without Tannehill for another week, but seemingly Brock Osweiller is playing well enough right now that they shouldn't have to worry. He gets a chance to play against his old team in Primetime. I don't think the Texans are a good team. Same record for both, but the Texans keep having some defensive lapses. Osweiller tries to do to much, and well...Texans 24, Dolphins 20

Sunday October 28th

(NFL) Eagles at Jaguars - LONDON BABY. Hey Jaguars, you are getting torched by some mediocre teams. Thought you'd turn the corner this season, but you haven't. You did not build on your AFC Championship game from last year. Instead, you have regressed. Oh, you too, Eagles. not a good team. But, something about London where teams play extremely great entertaining games. I think this one is going to be a shootout. Eagles 31, Jaguars 27

(CBS) Jets at Bears - The Bears, if their offense plays much better, can still contend for the division. Defense is keeping them above water. I think they are going to get after that Rookie QB for the Jets. Bears 27, Jets 13

(FOX) Buccaneers at Bengals - I am still not sure about the buoyant Bengals. Up one week, down another. We know the Bucs can score, the problem is can the Bengals stop them. I think this is is a nope. Bucs 20, Bengals 13

(FOX) Seahawks (3-3) at Lions (3-3) - The Seahawks and Lions are about as mediocre as their records would indicate. a Meh game. Seahawks 27, Lions 20

(CBS) Broncos at Chiefs - Best game of the day. Fully expect a defensive battle to start, and the Chiefs to have a second half onslaught. Chiefs 34, Broncos 20

(FOX) Redskins at Giants  - Sorry, Giants fans. Your team is horrible. Like, vying for first pick horrible. Redskins 30, Giants 14

(CBS) Browns at Steelers  - I want the Browns to win, or tie, since that's already happened, but I still don't think they have enough to get over the hump this week. Steelers 17, Browns 9

(CBS) Ravens at Panthers  - Panthers are 3-0 at home, and playing good at home. Road, not so much. But, they get a Ravens team who is 2-2 on the road. The Ravens defense is as good as it gets. Number one. A 15th ranked Panthers offense. I think the Ravens can shut down Cam Newton, and win a close game. Ravens 13, Panthers 10

(CBS) Colts at Raiders  - Just Tank, Baby. Colts 21, Raiders 13

(FOX) Packers at Rams - Rams are the only undefeated team. The Packers defense is suspect. Big Play prone. The Rams offense is top 5 ranked in several categories. I think the Packers are in over their head this week. Rams 27, Packers 13

(FOX) 49ers at Cardinals - Someone has to win this week. Both teams are just, worse than the other.  Cardinals 17, 49ers 9

(NBC) Saints at Vikings  - Saints are killing it on offense.Drew Brees is as good as he's ever been. Vikings finally seem to have found a groove. This is one of those "who has the ball last" type of games. we could see a scoreboard fiesta. Vikings 34, Saints 31

Monday October 29th

(ESPN) Patriots at Bills  - Bills you get your one time to shine...and catch a beatdown on Monday night. Patriots 38, Bills 10
